Kalafina 5th album "far on the water"

From what we could already hear, I think it will be more of neverending than HnS. And I'd absolutely love it that way :plz:

I'd prefer it more towards the HnS side, but only because HnS is one of my all time favourite Kala songs. I do enjoy Neverending though, so I'd be okay with that.

If Kalafina does a vocal cover of flame of despair for this album (or ever) I could probably die happily. But obviously, that won't happen.

So shortest album to date... Already bad news for someone who has a fetish for long songs like me. (Consolation already felt too short.)
Now we can only hope, they don't include all Singles since Consolation.:hide:

Aah..I miss those days when their albums were like 66 minutes long.:comeback:

come one its just 10 minutes difference, which means that its 1 minute less in few songs, which probably means no songs with minute-long intros or double bridge, and hopefully with less repetition.

I wouldn't take the running time as a good or bad thing in of itself either. I'm more worried about the quality of the music than the quantity!

Of course you are right but I didn't state it as a general problem. It's just that I like long songs personally because it allows the composer to explore a musical theme further and do some more "crazy" key change stuff like in "manten", "Eden" or "Seventh Heaven" (I just love that type of sh*t:nosebleed:). Maybe it's because I'm into romantic classical music and long overboarding symphonic metal stuff that I just love when Kajiura-san completely forgets about song structures and just does whatever the heck she wants to do ("Yami no Uta" to mention one).:XD: I agree though that there are some songs which would be better if they were shorter ("Red Moon" imo) because they have too much repetition.

In the end of course it really depends on the songs themselves, and not their lengths, after all Kajiura also managed to do "crazy" stuff in short songs like "storia".:ohoho: And really, it's just my personal preference so no offense intended.

01. into the water (1m37s)
02. monochrome (3m32s)
03. 五月の魔法 (4m56s)
04. ring your bell (5m14s)
05. うすむらさき (5m10s)
06. identify (4m26s)
07. 灯影 (3m09s)
08. One Light (4m40s)
09. むすんでひらく (5m19s)
10. heavenly blue (5m20s)
11. 空色の椅子 (3m18s)
12. believe (4m49s)
13. far on the water (4m31s)

TBH I'm surprised One Light got included. I like monochrome as a title (and its short length) so I hope it's good. Also lulz @ english/japanese/english/japanese/etc. Also lulz @ #7 Lights leading into One Light; Sky/Azure Chair following heavenly blue. lol. Amusing tracklist.

Thanks @grunty! Wow 7 new tracks! gogatsu no mahou sounds interesting. First track is surely overture to album

Heavenly Blue. :baka:
No B-side at all. :...:

This time, Kalafina is really below my expectations.

I don't see why it wouldn't be. It was released before the album comes out.

Also, y'all better translate those titles for your Quing.

Sure, it wasn't like Lacrimosa releasing on the same day as Seventh Heaven (and the beginning of post-KnK era) but I definitely had a thought they'd want to milk the song for what it's worth and not include it on an album this fast.

And this is surprising/disappointing because...? Shouldn't we be rejoicing misterioso isn't included? No Kimi no Gin/Alleluia either (sorry rit-chan?).

Why do Heavenly Blue and Believe (the two most similar Kalafina songs in their whole discography) need to be released on the same Album?!

Otherwise it looks quite promising I guess, so for now I'm looking forward to it. Please don't fail me Kajiura-san, please!:touched:

No. I like misterioso. You may all together file a law against misterioso, I'd keep liking it.
Not Heavenly Blue.

KnGnN and Alleluia had no chances, I knew that. But Believe's and RYB's B-sides are enjoyable, and I expected at least one of each on the album. As usual.

As usual? What? Am I really missing something? No album (excluding serenato on SH) had any b-sides. lol.

Anyhow, while it sux that all tie-ins since Consolation didn't get included IMHO, there's 7 new tracks so... Come on, Kajiura, impress us - the ship of fools is waiting.
