五月の魔法 - the magic of may
うすむらさき - lilac
むすんでひらく -connect and shut (actually I'm not too sure about this one so please correct me if I'm wrong)

I actually quite like the tracklist. HB and Believe both being on the album don't surprise me at all tbh.
I won't get my hopes up too high but I'm anticipating something good.

That reminds me of Lisa Komine's "Red Monochrome" which she sang in English and Japanese for the anime Tokyo Ravens.
It reminds me of albums from Helmet, Lee Hyori, Fury in the Slaughterhouse and songs by The Sundays, Yann Tiersen, Ayumi Hamasaki, Ammonia (come on wikipedia) and Yoko Kanno with Ilaria Graziano.

...Seriously?

Really disappointed that OL, HB and Believe made it on the album; I hate them all.

The track titles are interesting though. It's certainly their most colorful track list yet.

Are we all happy now? ;P
I'd been happier if at least 2/3 songs on this album were guaranteed to be good.
In the present state of things, my expectations for this album are getting lower and lower at each announcement.
With no assurance of anything great on this album, I almost even regret preordering it.

I still want to know. If I'm not happy, I still can sell it to another guy who can't / don't buy from Japan.
(And I don't want to take any decision before thinking heavily about it)

So far on the water is the last track, as expected. Monochrome and Identify sound like the compulsory (?) techno song. I like having new songs, but I really hope some of the b-sides still have chances of being in a possible future dvd release :(
Even if I like HB, I don't like having it in the same album as believe.

First thing that came to mind was Monochrome effect by Perfume.
For me, the first song that came to mind was Monochrome no Kiss by SID :XD:

One the one hand, I'm happy that not all the a-sides since Consolation were included, but on the other I'm not really glad believe and HB are on here together, though I was expecting it. I'm okay with RYB and the fact One Light is on here solidified that I won't be getting that single (not worth buying for those b-sides tbh). I think I'll stay cautiously optimistic.

Lots of new tracks could be a good or a bad thing, I'm not sure any more.

Also HB and Believe both being on there? :notlistening: Why. What a waste of space.

I'm happy, because that means we get new songs to hear live. The tracklist sounds like songs that would appear in one of her OSTs actually.

I'm hoping the B-sides post Consolation era get performed live. Or at least the B-sides from believe onwards. I'd truly be very, very, very satisfied if that happens with their next BD release.

I'm really happy we get so many new songs. I don't really mind HB, OL, Believe and RYB being there, though it would have been better if they weren't :groucho:

Sad there's HB and believe but no Alleluia and Gin no Niwa - they're precious songs, much more than 4 singles Kalafina released after them.

One Light got included doesn't surprise me, as it's almost the same case with Hikari no Senritsu got included in Red Moon (HnS was released 20/01/10, Red Moon on 17/03/10). Well, it's 1 month vs 2 month, though. But still the album was released not long after the single.

Grunty-kun had edited his post but I just wanna say in addition to AE had sf, consolation had Manten and Mirai.

I'd put my hope on identify as it gives me signal-ish feeling. Looking from their track record those 3-mins tracks most likely will going to be simple ballad tracks. I want more Keiko solo but somehow I think this album is going to be even more filled with Wakana than Consolation. Also, does fotw on the album have the same length as the one in Historia ed? Asking because I don't like the middle part- the throwback to the 1st verse melody instrumental section after the kajiurago. If it's the same length then it's the more likely that that is already the full version of fotw, no adds or instrumental change.

Wow! Interesting titles. So the one before One Light is Light? Heh (It kind of looked like Hanataba for a second, then I blinked.) And I really liked After Eden. Sure, it may have not been their best, but it still had good songs for me: Kotonoha, neverending, destination unknown, Kugatsu, sandpiper, and magnolia (when I read Monochrome I immediately jumped to this for some reason, and Monochrome by Haruka Tomatsu from Star Driver) Identify... hmm. Might be interesting. I want another Keiko/Hikaru song like love come down (I might be one of the only ones who really likes that song, and I also like misterioso too!) or fantasia.

Also how can you have low expectations from 7 new songs? You don't even know what they sound like. Sure, each single's title track may have sounded similar in ways, but their bsides proved that Yuki can still do amazing things, and the girls and the band of course. I am excited for the new album. (Though I am kind of wondering how different into the water and fat on the water will sound. Oh well, I will wait and see.)

^ 灯影 (the song before one light) seems to be Hokage (not written the same way as seen in Naruto, I believe). According to my Japanese textbooks from school, 灯 is... kind of like a form of light, not like hikari is light, but the connotations are similar-ish (I've only studied Japanese for a year, so feel free to correct me lol, but I wanted to try looking this up :study:) and 影 is shadow. I think it is referring to like flickers of light or like shadow movements in light (sounds pretty cool now that I think about it). So, it kinda seems like a prequel to one light. :XD:
