^ Ah yes, I just received notification from HMV on that too. I wonder if it's only for HMV. Anyway it doesn't seem to be free tokuten?

I think it might be limited to HMV. If not, then other stores might have a similar type of offering. I'm pretty certain it isn't the free touken, though. Note the price difference with vs without the muffler towel.

It does seem to be sold as higher-priced sets. I wonder if it's the first time they did something like this. Based on what I've seen previously it's only free store-specific tokutens. If other stores are going to offer different set items then it'll be really interesting :ayashii:

The towel alone is sold at ¥926+tax.
If you buy it along with a LE CD, it costs an extra ¥648+tax.
If you buy it with the RE CD, it costs an extra ¥639+tax.

I checked the product page for the vinyl on CDJapan, because they were down to the last 20 when I placed my order. It now reads "you may only purchase 1 copy of this item" on my browser, so I'm guessing they've put a "one per customer" restriction in to stop resellers grabbing multiple copies.

Which is good of them, because I think that's what happened with RyB on Amazon JP when the price shot up and was from third party vendors only.

So the BD will actually include two exclusive live performances? Well congratulations SME, you just managed to make the BD appealing to me. If it was only PVs, I wouldn't have cared in the slighest seeing how I consider Kalafina's PVs to be almost universally awful and all.

That said, count me in among the people hoping for no KnGnN or Alleluia on this album. I mean, don't get me wrong, I adore both those songs, but... I already have them. And I'd rather hear as many new songs that don't sound like slight variations on To the Beginning as possible, thank you very much. We're already sure to get two of those and quite possibly more, so... less 2013 tracks, more new stuff, please.

I get how people are saying that "the BEST albums don't count into their album discography".

So?

They were in the BEST albums. 50K people bought the BEST albums (probably new Kalafina fans or fans holding off until a compilation was released). You expect them to re-purchase those songs for the 3rd time in this album? When they've already had a single AND album released?

Thanks for the heads up Martin. I may get the vinyl after all, if there's some left. I want that towel! Since I don't have any of the previous ones. I know you can still get them on From Japan I think. But I'll hold off on a little while, as I am saving up for other things.

EDIT: I just purchased the vinyl too. (Kind of scared to look at my bank account, though, with CDJ, they don't charge until after it's sent, correct? Since when I look at it now, it charged for One Light, but not sure if that will go back into my account until the time of release? Just wondering if something has changed.) Yay! I can't wait for this. So happy to be getting to vinyls of Kalafina, and I have no records up till now, my dad and mom do, but we do have a record player. So I am excited to see how they will sound.

@Liana_Ilia, from my experience as a debit card user, they do get the money right away when you order. ;A; Initially ordered One Light from them just to test it out and they did get my money the moment I hit Place Order X_X So I cancelled the order (because I was really low on money that time) but wow, they take 1-2 billing cycles to refund the money :/ So yeah, I really had to go strict on myself that time to survive until the next payday.

So I really couldn't risk pre-ordering FotW from them lest I go downright bankrupt :orz:

I've found that CD Japan puts the hold for the value of the order (reducing your available balance) on your debit card when you place the order, but if it doesn't ship in the following week, the hold comes off and it may be several weeks before the charge comes off. So it pays to keep track of what has been ordered and how much might still be coming out of your account.

^ HMV only ships out via EMS - which means that your total costs of purchase will be more likely to exceed whatever import tax/duty limit your country sets. For my country, Malaysia, it's MYR 500 (approximately USD 130) so if my total purchase value (including shipping) exceeds that I'll get taxed.

I think I'm going to order FotW from Amazon JP, but how long does shipping (JPN to USA) typically take? I would like to know because I would like to have it delivered by my birthday (as sort of a self-given birthday present XD), which is October 2. That would be a little over 3 weeks after FotW's release. I'm asking because when I've ordered CDs from Amazon US, they typically take 3 weeks before delivery.

I really am showing my ignorance on importing XD...

I didn't know this... but I guess I want my purchase to count for the Oricon charts, so I guess I'll just be patient until the refund comes around. >_< Decided to use CDJapan only for back-ordering items :) (like Consolation, Hikari Furu, Moonfesta, and Alleluia... oh wait, that's all they have left for limited-edition CDs lol)

Yeah, it used to be that it took it out right away, then it magically reappeared in your account. lol Then after about 2 weeks after receiving it, then they charged you. But I saw that it charged me right away this time. Hmm. Oh well, still happy I got the vinyl since I was worried I wouldn't be able to get one. (Now I am making a little extra money.)

I've never ordered from Amazon JP before, not too sure what shipping method they offer. @Liana_Ilia is from the US if I'm not mistaken, perhaps she can give you a rough idea on how long it usually takes to ship from JP to the US.

You can ask CD-Japan but I think that Oricon requires online suppliers not to include items sent overseas for chart purposes. (There may be an explantion of this already on CD-Japan's web site).

Yes, I also posted that information on the CD collection thread :) That's why I have my package sent to a Japanese address first, then to me... so it gets counted in the chart :D

I might need to nudge them for my refund but I'm a little lazy in following up......... lol

Yes, I am from the US, Eastern US to be exact. It depends on which selection you make. I think when I ordered from AJ, it took about 2 weeks after it shipped. I only ordered the Kara no Kyoukai (Garden of Sinners) Limited Edition box sets from them. With CDJ I usually do Intermediate which means it will arrive the day before the release day, it usually ships the Sunday before and comes on Tuesday. Hope this helps somewhat.
