Kalafina 5th album "far on the water"

Yaaaay! New album! (Going to ignore all the banter because I am hopeful for this too, just like waiting for the full version of One Light (even though I don't really like the short one, but it may grow on me)) I so want the vinyl, since I got the One Light one, but I don't have the money right now. *sigh* I wish One Light would have been released this month so that we'd have something to tie us over until the album. heh But I will have the Budokan Blu-rays (tomorrow hopefully!) and I am glad they are putting the two unreleased songs on the album.

1. On CDJapan, it claims that there are 2 discs for the vinyl. What are the two discs? Is it like a part 1 and part 2 because the vinyl can't store all the songs?

HMV stated it as 1. Might be a typo. (They meant double-sided I presume.) But it IS an album afterall ...

2. (For those who purchased via CDJapan VINYL) How was the packaging for CDJapan? I read from some members' comments that the vinyl came in all creased and torn up from some other sites.. not sure about CDJapan.

Excellent. Some people may say it's more expensive but I'd rather pay for peace of mind.

3. What was special about the vinyl besides the large size? Any special goodies like a large sized booklet?

Ran out of patience from waiting at Amazon and pre-ordered at HMV instead. Now will feel jittery about the taxes they will charge me from now on :/ @Liana_Ilia, why don't you get your copy there too? Unless you don't like EMS...

EDIT: Cancelled HMV order and got it from Amazon anyway since HMV won't let me switch to a local address.

@Insidia, ive never seen a ca 1h album be released on a single analog disc. I dont think its even possible (with good quality At least).
 
Screw the Budokan lives. Way too expensive. Getting this instead (maybe someone will sell it kinda cheap on ebay when it comes out :/)

I'm very excited about the lives. We've gotten so much from this album so far, 2 music videos? Live videos? OMG!!!

Now we can onto wait for the tracklist and the covers...

You're welcome. To add on, CDJapan will usually box it up ... ensuring you get your Vinyl in good condtion.

@grunty Uhuh hence the later part of my previous reply.
But then again I'm not sure which has a better track record at keeping the data accurate for the multiple shops cross referenced. Logically speaking I would agree with 2 too.​

It's good that SONY gave us the other 2 songs at least.

Oooh excited for new songs! I do hope for at least as many as there were on the previous albums (which I think was around 7?) but there seem to be a lot of single songs that need to fit in too, so...

EDIT: ya gotta admit, Sony's genius. Evil, yes, but genius. :ohoho:
 
To answer @Atlas Star Re: two discs of vinyl. Their previous albums have been around an hour long with thirteen or fourteen songs on them, so I'm expecting this one to be the same. There's only room for fifteen to twenty minutes per side of vinyl (which is three or four songs, give or take) so albums that are longer than this have to be spread across two. The CD edition will probably be one disc as usual, possibly with a bonus blu-ray or DVD though.

I have the newest albums from Perfume and Boris on vinyl, and they're both two discs each because of the length. Because there needs to be more space in the packaging, they also have gatefold sleeves with larger (and prettier!) artwork on them. Ring Your Bell had a lyrics sheet so I expect this album will have one of those. Or the lyrics printed inside like a double page spread. The whole thing will be just over 30cm square, so there's more room to print lyrics and make the artwork bigger.

Good news! The "Out of Print" availability status got changed to "Usually ships in 1-4 days after it is released" so it looks like you can still place order for the Vinyl via CDJapan :D
 
I am still just going to get the LE with Blu-ray, since I don't have a lot of money right now. *sigh* But I did hear far on the water again, at least the one played over the RHH video, it's really nice. Keiko is in it, so that should be some relief for those who have said she was neglected. It has a really nice feel to it, but sounds different than the past RHH songs. I can't wait to hear the studio version and see the Budokan Live version. (And to hear the rest of the album of course. I hope the coverarts are great too, but they will be I am sure.)
