Kalafina 5th album "far on the water"

One Light was perfect. The girls have really improved. Hikaru's "boku wa yukeru"! :nosebleed:/is shot:imdead:
Ring your bell was good. Wakana had some pitch issues during the second refrain, but recovered after the bridge.
Gogatsu no Mahou - ahhhhh. I loved the performance. They sounded beautiful!

So far, so good. They've really exceeded my expectations.

EDIT: AND FAR ON THE WATER! It was perfection, much better than the Mezamashi Live.

I look forward to the BDs. They've improved by a significant margin, until their performances are near effortless. I expected One Light to tire them out since this song needs a lot of stamina, I kid you not.

One Light and Gogatsu no Mahou were amazing! Far on the water was good, but parts of Ring Your Bell sounded a bit off. Really good overall though.

Edit: My stream finished and apparently there is a members only part? Is anyone watching that?

My recording worked, it's not great quality but i'm uploading it now, should be available in 20 or so minutes

EDIT: lol jks it's going to take muuuch longer, I severely overestimated my internet capabilities...should maybe have a link working in 30-90 mins? O.o

I also liked the performances of One Light, Gogatsu no Macho and Far on the water. With the instruments on the background, their voices really shined. Especially on the last 2 since before Wakana's mic was a bit low, but they fixed it on the MC between OL and GnM <3

Warning: the sound quality ain't pretty and there's a few distracting background noises throughout it because I was in a rush and wasn't using the laptop I usually do so I'm unfamiliar with it, so I think the audio picked up sounds of what I was doing (and other noises around me) as well as the stream. So really sorry about that! Hopefully a much better rip will be available from elsewhere soon, perhaps?

My video file's only uploaded to about 62% so far, no telling how much longer it's going to take.

I'm kinda torn between wanting to watch this now and waiting to hear GnM studio ver. first anyway.

It's also pleasing to see most of the new tracks are getting a healthy amount of 'best song' votes on the current main site poll, that's promising. Also amused Believe is the only one without a single vote.
 
^ I posted the timings if you'd like to listen anyway (but skip the Gogatsu part) it should be safe because the girls talk for a couple of minutes before and after it so you won't be spoiled if you steer clear of those times

Also since I'm bored I may as well do a mini-review:
One Light - was pretty damn perfect to me. They all sounded great!
RYB - Wakana had a noticeably hoarse moment somewhere in the middle but otherwise it was also fantastic
Gogatsu - LOVE X 10000000
FOTW - actual perfection, I am still stunned by how well and how fast they've nailed the live versions of this song

will post proper review of the actual album later. Sorry I haven't been around! Life got busy... :spotlight:

One Light was excellent. RYB had some noticeable misses.. Hikaru sounded great though (a lot better than other performances and the recording imo). GNM is now my favorite FOTW song I think, that was pretty much flaw free. FOTW was good, definitely better than the Mezamashi live but I think I can't listen to the song too much (which I've unintentionally been doing) or else I'll get bored. The girls all sounded great for the most part.

It's a good score. On the first place is AAA. This band is much more popular than Kalafina. And Kalafina ahead Mamoru Miyano with 4 000 copies!
 
Thanks to the making of video they showed, all I will think of now when I watch the FotW MV are those slippers they wore in front of the green screen.
And so I shall ruin it for everyone else too >:D

Wakana's shoes were her own. Those were fine. But Keiko lol.

Wakana got so red several times XD

Oh my goodness yes, Keiko and Hikaru's bright pink slippers. :XD: No idea what happened but I noticed that when Keiko grabbed Hikaru's hands...and then Wakana jumped in too...and the NicoNico guy said something she started blushing like crazy (and I think Keiko was saying something like "Stop it" afterwards) Boy have I missed these girls :')

From the making of vid it also seems like they did actually go down onto the beach in high heels (I remember someone saying it was probably photoshopped but believe it or not pretty sure we saw the girls walking on the sand in actual heels)

(also what does the 888888 stuff mean in the comments? I noticed quite a lot of them appeared during the singing.)

8 is pronounced "hachi" which is close in pronunciation to clap "pachi"
So a string of 8s represents applause.

In that part, Hikaru said something which Keiko totally agreed with regarding Musunde. They then held hands together in agreement but when Wakana tried to join, she couldn't reach because of the dress she was wearing. You'll see in another part later that Keiko/Wakana stands up in order for their hands to reach.

It's late. I'll maybe do a summary/trivia tomorrow? but there's a lot of radio shows to catch tomorrow...
