I gave in. The wait was killing me (plus it's only a week until release anyway sooooo....XD)

Sorairo - reminds me of storm with a potential to be much better.
Musunde Hiraku - I love this. It's got Kajiura written all over it, but I still love it.
identify - that guitar and Keiko tho. Very catchy.
monochrome - reminds me of Gaika but seems to be much better. Nowhere as sleep inducing (the track length worries me since it could mean the same melody is just repeated over and over like Gaika).

"Most energetic album" is right. These songs will probably sound amazing live. However, it's still not on Consolation's level in terms of being blown away how good the songs are. It's still miles ahead of After Eden and anything they've recently done *coughhb, believeandonelightcough*

I refuse to give in until I own it. I'm also a dumbass and put my order on CDJapan as RSAL, so I probably won't get it until October.

Might have to order a different version or something so I can get it relatively on time.

what are you saying? monochrome is only 3:32 and 1 minute into the sample it's just getting to the chorus. at most it'll probably be verses-chorus x 2 plus instrumental ending and that's normal, no chance of overly repeated melodies compared to Gaika. i was excited for Sorairo no Isu until I looked at the track length again. pretty sure it'll be another Kiichigo no Shigemi ni, which means even though it's good, the sample basically already gives us the whole song, like George (?) said. After another listen, Musunde is not good. what was i thinking the song had potential lol. I like identify's verses but the chorus and the guitar intro annoy me. thread of hope hanging to the last 3 songs.

Wow, the dresses are so pretty. And I broke down. I like monochrome, I don't hear love come down actually. I hear a new song. It is different actually. And identify is weird. I am not sure I like it but I will listen to the full version to make a verdict. Keiko sounds weirder than in te to, which I like. With another listen I like the verse this time better than the chorus, like ritar said. So the opposite of signal. Though I wonder if Wakana will have an awesome part. And I sooo hope for some Yuriko in monochrome. It does sound similar to gaika, which I love that song, but different as well. Each song does have it's own style even though the melodies may seem similar. Like Believe and HB. Most people say they sound the same or are the same, but Believe is much slower and you don't have Hikaru's chanting which I don't like. Probably not going to like it in Identify either. But it may be fun live, as others have said. (I am thinking of more ridiculous dances! Gah! Someone stop me. lol)

Preordered all copies! Woot! I'm loving what I'm hearing :w00t: They better skyrocket up the Oricon!

I really like new songs. Only Musunde is weird for me. i think that FOW will be the best album of Kalafina. The worst was for me Consolation and the best Red Moon. new tracks are original - yes, they remind me gaika, mirai, love come down and teto... Fragments of them are similiar to older ones. But as a whole (I mean whole samples) they are original.
I can't wait to hear all tracks and a live!
Ok, we don't know Hokage, into the water and Usumurasaki. But I suspect that they are also good. In Consolation were some tracks which I really don't like (e.g. Kichiigo no shiemi ni, a little signal, yume no daichi...), In After Eden - Kugatsu, Kotonoha, Red Moon - intermezzo, haru wa kogane, Seventh Heaven - Ashita no keshiki, love come down a little (ok, you think now that I have really strange taste). So the quality of FOW as album can be better than previous for me.

^ it was agreed by most that Consolation was the best after Seventh Heaven and Red Moon, for me After Eden was the worse, so, maybe, FtW will be the 2nd or third good.

I got the impression that it will be like kagayaku sora no shijima ni ha but without the Kajiurago in the middle. Hikaru takes over in the second half. Wakana's role ends there. Keiko harmonises throughout.

Even if most of the "new" songs are fine, for me, FOTW is already the weakest of all because of the four anisongs. But probably not as deceiving as I was afraid.

I think I said this before, but this is my standing too. Even if every album original song is amazing and the best they've done so far, a quarter of the album is already either merely average or amongst their worst material ever released. There's nothing I don't like from SH so that's already better, RM only has Intermezzo which I'm not too fond of so that's already better. Even though I agree AE is their weakest so far released, it's only got Eden, snow falling and Mune no Yukue that I don't like on it, and they're still vastly better than Believe. Consolation only really has Mirai that I don't care for nowadays. If they'd gone in with KnGnN and Alleluia instead of HB and Believe maybe I'd have contemplated the possibility of it being better overall than AE, but they didn't, so it's already lost.

I'll need a while to listen through it a bunch of times and I probably won't be able to make up my mind until I see the new tracks live as to what my final opinion is on them. There was a time where I didn't really think anything in particular about serenato, Kimi ga Hikari or Sandpiper for example, but after hearing their performances on the 5th Anni Live Selection, Alleluia Christmas Live version and After Eden Special Live respectively, they've become easily amongst my favourite Kalafina songs, so things can change. I also think that RYB has sounded a lot better in most lives than it does in the studio recording.

I love Identify! It's soooo amazing, totally the type of song I was looking forward to! Monochrome's upbeat accordion sounds so familiar to me, almost like vallenato :o It's an interesting song, I wish I could've heard the chorus as well. I love everything I'm listening to in this album lately. I don't even remember Heavenly Blue but I thought One Light was ok and I actually like Believe, so maybe it won't be such a disappointment for me.

And I still love After Eden despite everything, I love bright!Kalafina a lot. Eden is one of my favorites, so uplifting.

Well, the only album I waited for was Consolation, and I didn't like it immediately. What is more, I didn't even listen to it again until last year. And there are several songs from all the albums which I didn't like at first that now are among my favourites. So, hope is not dead here.

I've been checking this forum for some years before actually signing up, and I've read a lot of old threads. Guess what; it was the end of the world in every album release. This negativity thing happened even then, so I'm not actually worried about that. We humans are reluctant to changes sometimes. We don't have to like it, though, but change itself is not necessarily bad. I like this Kalafina, and the old Kalafina.

I love After Eden, by the way.

Sorry for the blahblahblah.

^I actually really like After Eden too. I thought I was the only one... kind of like me and Believe. A lot of people say it's crap or whatever, but I like it. I guess it's your own opinion, and that's what matters. The negativity only makes me think that people won't like Kala anymore after this album, but we've already seen posts like "I love Sorairo" or "Identify is so cool" so I am not worried either. I will stick with them because I love their sound. (Which is why I was so adamant about not having them do rap. Sorry.)

Also kala x ace wow you got all the versions? Where do you work and can I have a job there? Heh I've only purchased two different types now from in order: Alleluia, ring your bell and one light (with the vinyl) and of course far on the water with the vinyl and BD as well. (Oh and if you count Blue and Red versions, but I don't really since they are compilations and different.) I also think the lives are important. I did not like signal at all save for Keiko and Wakana's parts. But then I heard it live at ACen and I was blown away. Well, I was blown away by the whole concert. heh I wish I could go to Japan during this tour. *sigh* (Also george when you abbreviate it that way I think of "for the win" lol)

I like After Eden too, I just don't care for Eden, Mune no Yukue or snow falling. Sandpiper, Magnolia and Destination Unknown are amongst my favourite Kalafina songs after all.

^I actually enjoyed Eden the most in the Budokan lives. It must have been amazing to actually be there. *sigh* But I did listen to it the other day and it did seem a little too long. Maybe cut a verse and chorus? Heh Then it would be good. But it was a good cleaning song. And I love Kotonoha, Kugatsu, in your eyes and neverending too. DU took a little while to get used to, but now I like it. And I love magnolia and sandpiper (except the beginning with Hikaru being too loud). I like Mune, but every once in awhile. And snow falling was good live too. heh Anyways... I am glad someone else likes it though. The covers are absolutely amazing too, in my opinion.

After Eden is on the 2nd place in my ranking. It's great album - I think. I love Eden, sanpiper, magia, magnolia, du, mune no yukue, symphonia... It was the best selling album of Kalafina, isn't it?
I hope that FOW will repeat the success of AE and Consolation.

Everyone here is afraid that Kalafina will be worse and worse because of last singles. I hate Believe, One Light is ok for me and I love RYB! RYB really grow up in my eyes. But IEN, tsuioku, lapis, koibito shows that nothing wrong is happening (ok, Hikaru has some problems, but Kajiura-san has still ideas for interesting songs). And the samples... they're really good! I believe that FOW will be a really good/great album. Ok, there are HB and Believe. In every album are few songs we don't like. I want to believe in Kala-girls and Kajiura-san. They really doing their best to promote the album and reach to most fans in Japan.

Everyone is here on cantaperme forum because love Kajiura's works and Kalafina. So as fans believe in them. It's sad for me that some people are so cynic and pessimistic about FOW album.

The covers are absolutely amazing too, in my opinion.

Yes. So much yes for this. I prefer the RM and Consolation dresses, but the whole aesthetic and composition of the AE covers is perfect. I need to get my AE poster framed already, but someone I know just got some B2 posters professionally framed and it cost them £150 each, so it's going to be costly. Worth it, though, since it's in perfect condition and I love that art so much.

Well... it did include Magia and a Madoka insert card (which was calculated as fuck of Sony to do). Pardon my negativity.
