Kalafina 5th album "far on the water"

yes the "far on the water" is too small and it's almost can't be seen in all covers except the LE DVD because it's too small and it blends with the tree.

I love these cover arts. My personal favorites would be the LE A and Vinyl ones. I do agree with @ritardando said about "far on the water" on the cover. You practically need a magnifying glass to read it. Other then that, these are beautiful. I especially like the Moonfesta-based artwork in it, and I am eagerly awaiting the PV. Maybe (hopefully) they will do something more interesting than a "stand there and lip sync" PV?

And I've already ordered LE B, and I'll wait until I get it to listen to the tracks. I'll try to only allow myself 1 listen of only a few tracks on it, but knowing me, I probably would have heard all the tracks 2-3 times before I get it XD...

The covers with their close up faces is a little awkward because of the angle which Hikaru's face is shot (unflattering). But those are some dang beautiful covers. I love the sketches - amazing work.

Okay, I am sorry that I hurt peoples' feelings. It's just my feelings about rap, I am sorry if I sounded a bit too condescending. I just can't like rap that's all. I've tried many forms of it, believe me. (The arcade had dance dance revolution and in the groove, so I've listened to some on there.) I won't post anything like that again, I apologize again. (I guess I thought she was a singer, and that lapis was saying that about rap, I misunderstood what lapis said, since she said "rappers are rappers, not singers" so I am sorry @lapis and other people who like it, it's not like I'm saying I hate the people who like it, since I have friends and family members (my sister included) who like it)

Anyways, yes, beautiful covers! It is a little weird, with the closeups, but I love the hairstyles! The braids remind me of storia and moonfesta (not that they had them in those covers, but because of the types of songs.) I like the sketch like backgrounds too, and the reflections in the first one is really cool! And the vinyl is really cool. I am glad I am getting it. The dresses are similar kind of to Hikari furu, but there's the Wakana shoulder again. haha And a ladder as well as chairs and lamps? Hmm.

I dont particulary like rap either but I have seen a few that sound good, and im just saying that it would probably turn good if Kajiura made a song like that. I am not offended or anything. Liana, did you tried my link on the previous page ?

As for the covers I really like combination of art and pictures. + 1 that "far on the water" can be barely seen. Especially by japanese who arent used to reading weird fonts of latin letters.
RE is probably the best for me. The clocks out of nowhere in vinyl dont really match.

That's some unreadable title. I actually quite like this concept, not necessarily the execution - the girls somehow really dont mesh with the art, especially in the DVD edition and then the composition is super weird at times. I agree with those saying Regular is best.

all the covers are beautiful, the vinyl especially. I'm not a giant fan of RE it's like 90% tree and 10% Kalafina. I definitely prefer LEA to LEB I'm definitely pre-ordering it with One Light but I'm ordering it once the Budokan stuff comes which doesn't bug me too much anyway. I just wanna use my shopper points before they expire.

Covers are beautiful! I like Limited A most when girls are standing on flowers! :hearts:
Great idea with sketches. I agree with @ritardando : title of album is too small and hard to read because of font.
Keiko in center again - so maybe it will be more Keiko songs:plot:?

With these coverarts, the album will probably turn out towards bright. Since there's no drop of water in the covers, they probably didnt have "far on the water" and "into the water" when they drew it, maybe it refers to the new album songs ?

^I think you can kind of tell that there's water, since the girls are standing on lily pads on one, and you can see the reflections of them. But yeah, I can see why since I think of moonfesta and storia too. But Identify will probably be a darker tone song. At least that's what I am hoping.

I hope we get more folksy songs like moonfesta but i also want something more rockish like magia or the Hikaru one light parts. A Keiko lead ballad would be good too :dote:

Covers are lovely, if not what I expected. That ladder bugs me a little, why is it the only thing not in sketch mode?

Happy I'm getting the vinyl with that art though, it looks gorgeous. I want the BD for the footage but that art is bad, the girls look okay but it lacks the composition of all the other covers. DVD is neat with those lily pads.

Contrarily, I really like the ladder, and how HIKARU is seen climbing it in the RE version. I prefer the RE over all the other covers, since it has the most interaction with the background (HIKARU on ladder, WAKANA on table). I think the interaction gives more life to the background art, whereas in the vinyl cover, they're just simply sitting on the water... with WAKANA's arm resting on one of the rungs of the ladder :XD:

My least favourite is the BD cover, actually. There is nothing to do with the water scenery as observed in the other three. Also, I think HIKARU looks a bit rigid and uncomfortable with that butterfly on her. I mean just look at her face.. WAKANA and KEIKO look great side by side, and then HIKARU is just there like "oh crap. It's on me, isn't it."

Really like the DVD cover with the lily pads and reflections of the three of them in the water... I don't know why they didn't implement the reflection on the water in the RE and VINYL covers when clearly everything else in the art (i.e. table, tree, book, etc.) was reflecting.....

You know what the best things about these covers are?

They'll be performing in those dresses for their tour. *squeals*

Unless it's like After Eden and they don't.

I think the RE would be even more beautiful without the clutter in the background and the foreground. Just the tree, the girls and their respective elements (ladder, chair and table) would make it more minimalistic and elegant. The lamps, cages, flower PNGs and books (and the clock behind the tree) look way too out of place and out of proportion. Zoom into the girls a bit more and reduce the size of the "Kalafina" text. And move the "far on the water" text below or do something to make it legible.

Those covers are really pretty, didn't expect it, but pretty anyway. Those sketches are really nice, too bad the dresses are boring and the text isn't easy to read. But Wakana's hair is love.

The girls are reflected in the vinyl, at least. The ladder wouldn't stand out so much if it was sketchy like the rest, I have no issues with it being there in itself.

The more I look the more I see. Except in the BD which looks worse the more I look. I really wish that wasn't for the version I want. Oh well, at least I have the vinyl as well which is lovely.

I'm a bit disappointed that DVD cover has nothing going on in it compared to vinyl and the CD only (because that's the one I'll be getting). Vinly one is with no doubt the best (they are not too far compared to CD only version, and it just looks really wonderful and on spot compared to rest). BD one is... bad. All three girls look a bit unflattering. They really could have done more with these covers if they wanted to.

Consolation for example had all three covers be pretty similar so it kinda didn't matter which one you went for, but this time around only 2 are similar of which one is vinyl, and the rest is different in a not good way. Now I kinda wish vinyl version didn't exist becuase I feel that one would be the DVD cover instead, but no.

There's really nothing going on in the DVD cover except them standing on sketched lotuses on plain background. Nothing else. The reflections are barely visible anyway. It just doesn't look that good, to be honest. The only good thing about it is that the text is more visible, but it's still too small. I'm not really complaining, but just saying that they could have done both DVD and blu ray ones a lot better, especially compared to all their other covers.

However, the vinyl one is just perfect and lovely. CD only looks a bit out of proportion (Kalafina logo too big, girls are too far), and also I really don't like their poses at all. Hikaru on the ladder and Wakana with her leg on that table... it just looks awkward.

As you can see I take my covers seriously, haha. Just my opinion.
