Kalafina 21st single "Hyakka Ryouran" (Katsugeki Touken Ranbu ED)

I do want to insert that @VyseLegendaire did not truly cross the line of vanity/egocentricity by bringing up his degree and so no one should be addressing him as such.

The analogy of there being "camps" is honestly very accurate as well.

I'm probably just as jaded as any other old men hanging around this site, but hey lets just face the facts that 2004 is gone and sometimes people and things change. I'm not going to sit hear and bitch endlessly because a masterpiece by its definition cannot be duplicated.

I only used the "music theory' because frankly a lot of people's opinions aren't based on the music but on their own feelings.

What? Again you say "Baseless" but its not what I said.
Already sort of responded to this in my post above after I noticed your edit.
bro i nebr said dat. I said "seem incapable of believing".
But that's how it reads to me! How can you call out others for seemingly not being capable of accepting others liking the song? Nobody said or even implied that. You are judging others just because you can, just like you say others are judging Kajiura and Kalafina. Great.

Its a message board and so sometimes I expect people will use a sort of formal argumentation that is a bit more sophisticated than bathroom stall scrawl. Sometimes though I do question that.

I'm being sarcastic to make a point. My comments were not especially heavy handed imo, just a call for a bit of calm when I see people calling the latest song 'poop' based on the refrain being similar to Parallel Hearts, which is considered a masterpiece right? And frankly its not even that similar….

Rather you did interpret my comments to be far more stinging than they were.

In my view "incapable of believing" represents that a person can like something but will not rid the back of their mind from their fairly set-in, generally negative opinion. Be it critical or just damn-well salty.

Perhaps. Even if you didn't mean it, I read it that way. It happened and I feel I've explained why and addressed everything I felt the need to (except the "camp" part which enraged me because if I felt like staking anyone or even was capable of doing so, I would go to their personal space and not be talking shit on a fan forum).

And again, I don't think a single person said "Parallel Hearts" was a masterpiece in this thread (I'd have to re-read and I'm exhausted) so... maybe I'm reading you wrong again.

We are going in such beautiful circles. That's surely correct. But you are assuming that and saying it based on what in this discussion?

I'm a rogue, a sky pirate so I can't belong to either camp. I'll happily migrate to a different island in order to survive a potential Lord of the Flies'' scenario which is approaching. (∩ ◥▶ ᴥ ◀◤ )⊃━☆゚.* I'm 50/50 in either one at any given time.

I'm saying that based off of the online tone of some responses in this thread, although once again most of my reference is coming from my experience in the Märchen discussion.

Purely my input on observations I have made.

So there's more than 2 camps now? ;-)

2 camps and one airship, at least.

The covers looked interesting. Not great but the girls looked so fine. Wakana in that hairstyle is A++. Why the / on the title just to be cool..

The anime edition is fujoshibait+random screenshot lol tho tbh anime edition covers are always disappointing, like /noeffort at all.

The description for the game from tvtropes is "being a sage, you have the ability to bring inanimate objects to life—in this case, historically famous Japanese swords, all of which take on the forms of handsome young men called Touken Danshi (刀剣男士, literally "Sword Warriors"). "

So... you're not wrong... and neither is this cover... :p

I thought that both the One Light and Blaze anime covers were fabulous, though the ethereal fantasies on their covers didn't really convey such from their songs . . .

Also, I thought the / on HR's cover came across pretty obviously as a sword slash . . . which shouldn't be surprising or looked down on. It's within context of its project, as opposed to if they did the same to, say, Lacrimosa.
