^ LOLs is that game a athingy that you put melody in and plays ?
EDIT

oh found out. I wish there were things like that in other countries too :uh..:

^ You can still download it and run it in English, though. I got an old version of it last night. :sparkleguy: It's really hard to map out the songs you'd like to play, so there are a lot of maps made by other people available too.

EDIT

On the topic of Manten again, I think the reason I don't hear much of a Red Moon resemblance is because the moods are very different. Red Moon sounds rather Gothic, like the three witches from Macbeth dancing around a cauldron casting spells, but Manten doesn't have that "evil" sound at all for me. :ayashii:

^Yes.. I also think that Manten is less 'evil' than Red Moon, but not that 'evilless' for me..:D. Manten&Red Moon are like a protagonist&antagonist from the same literature for me..:ohoho:. (Wow..and now, Red Moon is accidentally played from my winamp..lol.)

off-topic: I love Taiko game....!!!! :waii: . However, I&my sis usually played only the classic songs because we can't read the Japanese names of most of songs available..lol. (Well...it's a bit weird for two post-highschool girls in those days spending almost an hour in gamecenter playing only on Taiko drum.., but we did..!! lol.)

^ Huh, good point! :goodjob:

I think I'm going to imagine that from now on...Red Moon as the evil sorceress who lost her mind when her true love died, and Manten as the good but jaded young warrior who's losing herself in the fight against evil :shy:

I think it is only similar in their voices. I think manten is more piratey and has a more marching sound to it. I can picture the girls swaying back and forth slowly during some parts of the song. Ahhh I want a live of this now.

still not LSS on manten :XD: but I like it...
somewhat similar to yami no uta
and the strings are similar with SH's Shūtan no Ou to Isekai no Kishi

I think I need a little time to get used to Manten. I still can't appreciate it for some reason. I don't completely dislike it nor did it gave me a big impression.

I'll listen to it some more after I get over Silent Moon -- maybe I'll learn to really appreciate it.

Hmm...poster....... :ayashii:

Is that independent of the retailer? (Meaning, I can buy any version from anywhere and expect to get that?)

EDIT: Anyone can help point me in the right direction for the best deals (all things considered, including collectibles and freebies) for TTB? Also, which version would that be?

^the poster was separate. (I wish you could get it with a cd like the stone cold one heh)

@joel: I agree about it being like yami no uta. Although there are more high notes in it. heh Those do take time to get used to, and even today on the way to work I was surprised by them even though I have listened to it many times now, and knew that part was coming.

For "manten", I find the chorus strangely similar to "storia" whereas the verses just a little bit to "Lacrimosa" and the violin parts very similar to "Yami no Uta".

Honestly, I wish Yuki Kajiura would produce more songs like the old Kalafina such as Fairytale, Kimi Ga Hikari Ni Kaete Yuku and Lacrimosa. "To The Beginning" and "manten" sounds too much like FictionJunction songs instead of Kalafina.

:uh..:

^ I know where you're coming from with TTB, but I really don't hear much FJ sound in Manten...I can't imagine them covering it in a live, either, while I can definitely imagine a cover of TTB.

What exactly do you think makes Manten a FJ-esque song? :confu:

Ι dont get where you find the manten similarity, but if what you wish was happening people would besurely then complaining that its Farytale "redux" Kimi ga Hikari redux etc and that Yuki doesnt think of new melodies/ arrangements (again). No songs with harmonies strings and drums shloud be considered FJlike unless they had the said PH-tokino-eternal blue structure.

I feel trolled LOL It seems like the single didn't have the impact I was betting it would have after all, at least for now.

Okay, just watched the PV of ttb, finally. lol (I don't know why I didn't the day I got it.)

What I like: their hair pieces. Out of all the dresses I think I like Wakana's the most, although she looks different in this video for some reason. Maybe it's the hair style. lol at Hikaru and the wall in the beginning. They all had some time with it at some point. But Hikaru was obsessed with it. I was thinking the whole time "I love you wall!" :ohoho: I like it when they are outside. The ending is cool when Wakana dips her hand into the water and the moon disappears and she stares at her hand for the longest time.

Don't like: When they are inside and it is like a pale blue color. Hikaru looks weird, they all look kind of strange and evil almost. I don't really like Hikaru's hair style all that much. (Don't really dislike it but what's up with Keiko's ring?)

Those are just some thoughts. I do like the video though, even though it was a little boring. (Except for the wall parts.) :dote:

This will be surely off-topic...but after read ninetales quote, my thought was "Oh...if you added 'and then she became an evil' after that....it would completely describe Sayaka's fate.... :omg:"

You mean in the charts or in our forum ?

If its the first maybe its because the opening animation of the new season sucks. Its too slow and the scenes it shows dont much with the lyrics at all.
If you mean the second, its because there will be always people that dont like a song no matter how good it is. :uh..:
(I remember there were complains for ALL Kalafina songs, even their first single)

I was disappointed by the sales, but it's not too bad! I thought Fate/Zero was really popular so they would do better, but I have no idea about anime so there's that.

After hearing "to the beginning" in repeat for a long time and singing along I realized that it's a more complex song than I had initially thought, which is what threw me off, but now that I've "understood" it better I really like it.

I still like Manten more than it though, it's actually one of the most beautiful songs I've heard, I absolutely love it :sohappy:

I think everyone has such high expectations for Kalafina that it's difficult for them to release a song so amazing that it'll completely blow everyone's mind...even if they did release a GODLIKE song that had the biggest BAM WOW-factor, after that they'd be under even more pressure to top themselves every time... :XD:

I'm pretty happy with manten and to the beginning myself, I'm glad Yuki seems to be dividing the songs up more evenly between the three of them (it's sad that Keiko still gets the least out of the three but it's probably because she can't be spared from her harmony parts)

The only problem now is that I don't have anything to look forward to that's soon, anymore :spotlight: :spotlight:

Yes the lyrics are amazing, and I think the girls did an amazing job expressing the emotion of the lyrics through the song as well. First thing that struck me about manten was how passionate the singing was :touched: I think Wakana and Keiko really levelled themselves up to Hikaru's master level angst in this one so all three girls were just riding each other's momentum from one verse to the other :touched:
