eh, i didn't like red moon at first. it was too long for me :XD: but it grew on me over time. i like the beginning of manten, especially the "hosoi eda ni hikaru no wa ...."

Mine is shipped... :sohappy: ..Yeahhh...!!! Manten reminds me a bit of Red Moon..., but not that much. Just having the same feeling...like how Lirica is like Utsukushisa..:P. Really love this song...but I accept that I need some time to get used to the key change.

Question.....When I listened to Manten, I heard a weird noise around 4.46-4.59...heard periodically at every second..it sounds like a tic-toc of a clock or sth. like that.... Is it only me or everyone hear the same thing..? :uh..:

I do,friend!Yeah,it does sounds like tic-toc of a clock or sounds of footsteps~

to teh beginning is awesome :TdT:

it begins with Keiko, followed by Hikaru, and then Wakana adn another Wakana + Keiko in the harmony as the main.

with the feeling of Yuki classics since parallel hearts and toki no muko, their combination is just perfect. :hearts:
:goodjob: great job from Yuki Kajiura
 ~Keiko~

Although I love Manten's beginning a lot (the music, especially), Wakana's voice in "ni" in "shizuka ni matataku" is not enjoyable at all. Kinda pinching for me. Hikaru's part is kinda floating for me, so I still and maybe won't enjoy it. Wakana sounded really tired too in the chorus for me. Hikaru screaming in "chorus" (manten no chorus) is not enjoyable either.

I got mine today! (With the poster and tshirt which are awesome, although my mom said the poster was kind of creepy lol)

ttb: I still love this song. I bet the instrumental is as good as well, of course. I did not like Keiko's parts at first but now they are my favorite in the song. While I do agree that Hikaru is a little overdramatic in it, I still think they all do a good job for something different.

manten: Wow... it took my breath away. (Although that would have been bad since i was driving, it did make me want to go faster though lol) It was a lot slower than I imagined it to be, which isn't a bad thing. I love the strings especially towards the end. And Keiko's part again was amazing. (Yuki loves the word "world" again in this single heh) I have to listen to it again when I get home (probably over and over lol) but I think it is right up there with lilica for me. (since that was one of my favorites. It does remind me a bit of red moon, which I didn't like either at first right away. It grew on me and sometimes the mood is right. Hikaru's part is awesome in the beginning, she has her dark voice back. Overall I loved it.

The entire single is great to me. I think it is one of their best in awhile. Can't wait to hear them live. :sohappy: PS: I can scan in my booklet, I have the LE+DVD.

i love manten absolutely (it's growin on me rapidly like those beanstalk in jack an the beanstalk :XD: ), but i don't know why... for me it's more similar to storia+to the beginning than red moon, maybe because i can feel this "medieval" feelings? :XD:

I like "to the beginning". Maybe because there's this similarity to "Parallel Hearts" -- one of my favorite Kajiura song.

The only downside is that I don't like the ending. I was looking for something more grandeur. Repeating the violin solo was not enough.

Me too. I find "to the beginning" lacking of certain substance, like it's lacking some sort of encore. And not enough vibrato. I like the part Keiko sing just before the last chorus where Wakana sang. It has suspense in it. Overall I think Keiko is amazing in "to the beginning". :dote:

^ I agree too. The change to major key in the ending is nice, but there's something rather anti-climatic about it.

And I still think Manten is more like a more-dramatic Shinkai no Kodoku than Red Moon :XD:

^ I'm not sure how to explain it exactly...Shinkai no Kodoku is very dramatic, but in a tragic way, while Manten has more of a "sweeping helicopter shot across the mountains showing the Fellowship of the Ring on their long journey" feeling to it. I probably shouldn't even be comparing them, since their moods are so different... :ayashii:

This has got to be the most creative description I've ever read about the feeling a song gives XD

:shy:

Here are the scans of the booklet. Sorry the one is kind of squished, if it is too hard to read I will scan it again like the other one. :dote:

^ Thanks Liana! :sohappy:

^I was thinking that too, I think Wakana looks so pretty in that picture. I kind of wish they would have those poses for the covers.
