MANTEN!FINALLY! :sohappy:
Thanks for the links! :dote:
Ok,I don't really know how to describe this song...It goes from dramatic to sorrowful tone then back to dramatic again~Hahaha! :uh..:
I still like it though~ :V:
&the instrumental of to the beginning~ :dote:

Manten is really really nice !! I like how it connect from te beginning to the main chorus :sohappy: It will be nice to be the ending for FZ season 2 though :XD:

Absolutely love the chord progression here! :sohappy:
I like how Yuki arranges this song!
It does maintain some of the Kalafina "feel" to it but
i feel i really like the constant modulation of keys (change key)
gives it a very uplifting feel to it. Also i think the way she uses the augmented key to link the middle section to the chorus is amazing!
It gives a sorta Celtic feel to it XD :ohoho:
I think Yuki sama found a new style in her music composition. After listening Fate/Zero OST, Manten, Sora no Takaku, i think her music is moving to something more cinematic and dramatic, which to me is a very good thing :sohappy:

Well...I can't wait until my copy arrive.... it seems that I'll be away during that time and may need to ask my landlord to pick them up at the post office for me.... (So pity that I absolutely forgot about the order when I planned my travel and just realized that a few days ago when my friend talking about the post office..Orz..)

Well...I don't know which part should I call refrain, bridge, hook, or sth. like that..I think its structure is a bit different..I'll say that the song structure is A-BBC-ABC-D-AA. The same letter means the same (or similar) melody line.., and - stand for the instrumental parts..^ ^. (if anyone can give proper technical terms for these parts, please help me indicate them..>___<...and I think that D and B is quite similar but I'm not sure about that...I know that I'm not good at discriminating the melody...- -"...)

Oh...I love the piano&violin during Wakana's first A... (and the guitar is surely awesome..!!!) Love Hikaru's C parts...esp. when Keiko joining...!!! However, I don't like that Hikaru singing styles is varied from part to part.. It feels a bit weird... By the way, the second appearance of C melody line is even more awesome with Wakana join at the very end..!! But both of them has their own identities and I love both..!!

The D-AA after the yummy long instrumental part is awesome...!!! I really love Keiko's part..lol. For the melody A, I prefer Wakana's to Hikaru's one. Kalafina's thick&gloomy voices gave the different feeling from heavenly Hanaes voice.. It's darker&gloomier, but less unearthy... (sth. like....it falls from the glorius&mysterious heaven to the dark&gloomy skyline..lol.)

I love Manten! Especially from the second part, where there is a line saying something like "there's no need for bouquet to mourn for me" and then Hikaru comes with a low, Magia-like voice. :nosebleed: I can imagine Iri singing this.

Random:when I listen to Manten,an image of scarlet sky formed in my mind~ :innocent:

Well, I imagined Kalafina wearing kimonos when I heard "manten".

ahaha... manten is soooo greatttt :sohappy: , it gives us beautiful imagination (it's different for each but all are beautiful) well yes it's a damn good one! :shy: when i'm listening to it i see them wearing medieval princess-like dress and dancing beautifully in a mask party in a majestic castle :XD: i love my imagination :dote: and i lovveee this single :dote: :dote: :dote:

Well, TTB is a plain FJ-ish song to me. I haven't changed my opinion on it. As for Manten, it's nice, but I can't say I really liked it. Probably I need to listen to it more. I think it can't be compared to Let the stars fall down, because they are different after all, even though Manten includes the big part of LTSFD. But I like the latter much more.

I think ppl who likes Parallel Hearts or Eternal Blue will loves TTB for sure :ayashii:

iin my case, i like Parallel Hearts and Eternal Blue :ayashii:

Don't forget there are people who like one of the three songs (PH, Toki no Mukou, Eternal Blue), but are miffed about the overall similarities. All three songs carrying different moods is usually a poor comforter. :XD:

I like Parallel Hearts, but I'm pretty meh about Eternal Blue. I feel like To the Beginning doesn't really have a defined structure or something, it throws me off. Maybe I just need to listen to it more, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me as is :uh..: I feel like the chorus doesn't really fit with the verses or something? I like all the parts of the song individually, but when they are together it sounds messy somehow.

I'll go and listen to it in repeat like 10 times and see if it improves haha :XD:

I do understand that there are similarities in all those FJ songs, and maybe even TTB, but I still like them and think that TTB still is a bit different from those songs. (Although I agree that it is not very Kalafina.) It is nice to have something different by them though. Ahh! I want to listen to manten so badly. Tuesday can't come soon enougn. :XD:

I like manten more then to the beginning too. to the beginning sounds quite "normal", like something I often heard before. when I first heard it I thought "it feels like this song is old, and I heard it very often before" maybe it reminds me of paralell hearts too.
but anyways, i still really like it.

manten has this magical and fairytale-like feeling for me. (err, I don't mean the song "fairytale" with that. XD I mean that it sounds like from a fairytale.)

Manten is love

That intro so Decretum like and the wonderful let the start melody. Lovely

Even Grunty likes it :XD:

To the begginig is meh, noting special. IMHO

To whoever receives their copy first: PLEASE... send a scan of "manten" lyrics, I can't find them online :uh..:

The good folk in the lyrics forum have a fairly good start on the lyrics to Manten.
