FictionJunction 4th Single - distance/eternal blue

^ But they not melodically similar. also stone cold is totally different, and there's no "so on" yet, its only these 4 songs. :XD:
 
Could it be that the lack of proper time to sit down and work on FJ stuff is also something to blame on this? Of course I'm not saying that it's the only reason, but Yuki is always busy with Kalafina and OST works, and it's only one time every year that she writes something for FJ in the mid-time between all of that. Maybe if she took a break from one of those to focus on FJ for a while (to write an album, for instance), we wouldn't get so much similarity in almost every of their songs, I guess.
 
Uh, she took a break last year, didn't she? And what did she do? Arranged a full lineup of lives.

stone cold is the unique song original by FJ. And why Kajiura uses Wakana (after or before Yuriko's kajiurago) for the introduction, Kaori (and/or Wakana) for verses and Wakana for chorus? WHY? [except stone cold which has no intro, lol]

IIRC from that interview Kera translated, that was Yuki's stated intention - leave the studio for a while and do more lives. :XD: Granted, the double live album from that year does sport a FJ label over it... as much as that counts, anyway.
 
^Yeah, we all know she does have a lot of fun doing lives, and it's just natural that someone would use a break from lots of work to do with he/she enjoys the most :XD: Then, guess it should be necessary for her to take a break to really work on FJ only, or we'll just keep getting the same song every year and an album only when as many years have passed as many songs are needed to fill up an album :XD:

She should be doing what she really likes, which is lives...
I mean when someone has a break they should be doing things that they like, not reflecting on their past work/project and trying to rectify it :glower:
 
There aren't a lot of complains this time. :XD: I still think many liked the new ED song. A friend of mine also said that she didn't want the ED to be replaced. what?!
 
I think, as KP-X said, that staff/directors/producers can only be so much to blame for Kajiura-sensei's music problems. They might ask her for "a Parallel Hearts-style song" or "a classic Kajiura ballad", but that doesn't necessarily mean that she has to include obvious elements of other songs within her composition. That's most likely unconscious reuse, in my eyes, and something that she needs to work to avoid herself.

i didn't like the 2nd ED from the original run
I like this better

at least they should've made a new Ending sequence :uh..: :uh..:
the opening sequences spanning INVOKE and moment were [almost] the same!!! :blood: :blood:

Agree. In the middle of other works, she probably doesn't have much time/energy to think with care about FJ, and ends up taking the safe/simple path and making the same stuff over and over. So I agree with niney that she should work to avoid that herself.
