Just finished up disc one. Godsibb is not a song I've heard before and that performance sounded bloody amazing. ASoSaF has had better performances but this is still good. MADLAX Mix is real nice, Frenetic is great, Salva Nos is a really nice live, Cazador Del Amor is fantastic (who would've guessed I'd have liked it ) and everything else sounds good too. Maybe it's just because it's a first listen through and that I'm not particularly familiar with a good portion of the songs, but I'm really not hearing much to dislike. May have to throw a copy in with my Budokan Lives.
Update:
Just finished disc two. Lotus, man. Holy crap, that was amazing. E.G.O. and I Swear were both great, Satoyama Main Theme was fantastic too. Credens sounds different, but still awfully dull like it always has as a song. Maybe Tomorrow was pretty, Gin no Hashi was great. The instrumental pieces are good, especially We're Gonna Groove. Moonflower was amazing, too.
Onto disc three. This thing is bloody long.
Update:
And we're done. Point Zero was awesome, and Let the Stars Fall Down is decent too, although I still prefer the Manten variant arrange. Historia OP is the opposite as the original opening sounds a lot better than Storia's variant. The performance here is good. Voices Silently Sing is great and Once Upon... is lovely. Alone and Bloody Rabbit are great although they don't really blend together, and The World is lovely too. Fake Wings sounds awful, though, but at least it's very short. Open Your Heart I actually quite like here, the original didn't really have enough going on I thought and it tended to be quite dull, whilst this has a bunch of added elements that make it more interesting. Possibly a few too many elements, though, it could've been a lot better than it is, but I still think its an improvement on the original. Not something I'd choose to end on, though.
Overall, I think I will buy a copy. Aside from Credens and Fake Wings it was enjoyable and a lot of the material is downright fantastic. Probably worth it alone for Lotus, Godsibb and Moonflower.
