^Agreed, loved that one. It was a little out of place, but it will probably end up as one of my favorite ones. I thought the trailer bgm was weird in the actual show, since it did not have all the instrumentals and the vocals sounded off... The new song in the beginning was okay too, the Rider one. heh (Lol at the whole shopping online thing) I want more new songs though! It's already on the 8th episode.

Well, all the aforementioned tracks are great, plus the Kiritsugu/Irisviel talk BGM was touching. :dote:
The episode itself maintains the quality. There's more Rider (that man never ceases to amuse me :TdT: :XD: ), more Caster (and more urobuchified scenes as a result :ghost: ) and enough action. :hero:

Irisviel and Rider are totally my fave characters in the show by now. :ayashii:

It was a bit surprising to see Kiritsugu's ability.
Now I can't help wondering if he might have served as somewhat of a blueprint for Homura :psst:

The rescue team leader (or firefighters team?) is the type of character that always make me facepalm. You see a weird object of an enormous size, it looks like mercury (a dangerous substance, to be sure), it even seems alive to you. What do you do? TOUCH IT, OF COURSE! Come on now, really... :desksweat:

Re:

This OST still surprise me.

- trailer 1 BGM
This was odd, they removed instruments -Yuki removed? Is not the same version as the trailer-. And no Yuriko, though those vocals doesn't fit in that moment.

- slipstream-like (from tsubasa) fast piano battle BGM :dote:
This one was very old style, adorable! It didn't reminds me of slipstream, lol.

- Hane Tomaru BGM (same as berserker scene) but full :nosebleed:
New vocals are sober and uniform. NOW, yes, I love this piece. I have to recognise, when Yuki mixes crazy instrumentals and calmed-down vocals... she catchs me.
Tokyo Konsei is the main vocalist of the OST, right? XD

-Rider/Waver flute BGM
Cute but wtf? XD

:sohappy:

Hum, in fact, I think that the version they played of the trailer song in the episode was quite fitting. True, they removed some instruments but that suited the scene.
But that piano song, I have to agree. It didn't make any sense.
The episode itself was way better than the last one, in every sense.

The piano song also reminded me of Theme from Works for Soundtrack, now that I listened to that song again. heh

8th episode is up http://ch.nicovideo.jp/channel/fate-zero :sohappy:

Episode 8 notable musics:

- last episode's end music for the fight between the Lancer's master and kiritsugu
- Irisveil's bird music (new and awesome :shy: : stings + percussion + Hanae Tomaru = :nosebleed: )
- BGM that was used in ep1 for the summoning.

What I dont understand from this episode is
How the hell Kotomine destroyed that tree :confu:

Big spanish subs bug, lol.

Without Hanae at the end :D

This was awesome, and very short, the music is nice but those mystic vocals (with bells?) were really sublime.

The new song is nice but what really matters in it are Hanae's vocals.

I don't know why, but I'm not that excited about the series anymore. I'm not giving it up but I'm not looking forward to it as I was in the beginning.

New musics are awesome! :dote:

For your question, if what I see him doing is true (drawing in breath and exhaling it out), he destroyed that tree using what is known as taijiquan, a Chinese martials art. He also used that to disable Maiya during the close combat.

I won't be watching it until tomorrow either. Nut I'm already excited about new music. :stars: Come to think of it, Yuri + Hanae + Tokyo Konsei + Eri [+ Wakana and/or Yuriko?] is a vocal set we've never seen gather in one OST before. :dote: :ayashii:

As for the show itself, I don't find myself hyped about it the way it was with PMMM. By now, it's just a really good show I enjoy significantly, but calmly. :tea: But it's a candidate for my personal top 20 regardless (top 10 is also quite possible :dote: ).

I'm loving this combination :shy:
Although I must say that i would rather have (more) Yuriko than Wakana.

I love the combination as well. The bird song was awesome. I wish it was a little longer... it sounded like it cut out at the end, or was it just me? (Was the opera-like song new as well? I had never heard it before... if so it was awesome as well) :dote: Gah I may have to save for this soundtrack. The episode was okay.

It depnds on whicho ne you refer to, if you refer to the one that was playted at the begging during the fight between Kuritsugu and Lancer's master no because it wasp layed in the last episode as well and in the 5th episoode too. If you refer to the song that was when Lancer and Saber defeated Caster, it wasnt too :XD: because it was played in the first episode when the masters summoned their servants.

Oh. My. God.
The episode would be as good as usual... but then they go and make an action entry for Irisviel. With spectacular performance. With a breath-taking BGM which I predict to become one of the OST's best. And this episode's worth has taken a major leap for me. I must have rewinded the scene in question for a dozen times or so... :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed:

Forget a female King Arthur, a beardless Blue Beard and a crazy awesome Iskander. I'll remember this show for giving us the best
homunculus
you'll ever find in anime. :TdT:

I fear I may be turning into an Irisviel fanboy. :shy: :XD: Of course, before Kirei left, I was promptly reminded just how Urobuchi treats the characters I like most in his works... :omg: :uh..: :voodoo: :stupidbox: :stupidtable:

Thank goodness for Kiritsugu's precaution here - maybe he knows not only what they're up against, but also who is responsible for writing it all. :ohoho:

TL;DR: I love Irisviel, period. :dote: And I have no hope that she'll survive this series, period.

As for the OST, it was a wild ride of the masterpieces we've already heard + the new track I loved from the first notes.

In terms of career, 2011 has definitely been THE year for Yuki. :sohappy:
