BD/DVD: Kalafina “9+ONE” at Tokyo International Forum Hall A [Release: Nov 1st]

@Atlas Star ikr! why misterioso over and over again lol i guess they just needed something uplifting to increase the tension (?) of the concert and misterioso is quite a popular one bcs of meduka. I really LIKED Kyrie live from Red Moon 2010 DVD bcs of the energy but their performance of Kyrie got more and more boring and dull but )for me) maybe that's because Wakana's voice doesn't have the same "power" and not as "commanding" as in 2010. also, the octopus arm dance..... plus blergh another storia to the beginning One Light why

what irks me the most is because the first half of the concert is FJ Wakana with Hikaru and Keiko on chorus.

like 2 and half an hour concert yet on the first hour and half you can only hear mostly one vocalist plus the hype part of the concert isn't that exciting either. this tour has the worst setlist ever imo


I miss Edna. At least he'd be around on their next anniversary concert. Hopefully that one would have a decent setlist lol throw away those consolation and fotw era anisongs they're earsores and also overperformed.
 
The setlist is pretty mediocre, honestly, but Ashita no Keshiki, Kyrie, Marchen, Hikari no Senritsu (sans flute, sadly), Haru wo Matsu and (hopefully) Kimi ga Hikari will save it.

Misterioso needs to leave already, and Mirai can get out too. And Heavenly Blue again? Fucking really!? It's much better live than studio but it still needs to bugger off. Blehze is trash as well.

If it's the 4th setlist and we don't get Kimi ga and Symphonia as bonuses I'll probably just see if I can get it secondhand later on, because the setlist isn't great in the first place and dragging it down with Believe even if it is acoustic is enough to make me want to wretch. Hopefully it'll be the 3rd's setlist, because at least then I don't care much if the alternate songs aren't included. Yume no Daichi is alright but it's easily worst RHH song.

I liked the separate parts of heavenly blue on their own, but they don't transition well with each other imo. Plus I think Wakana sounds super bored in the studio version. It sounds a lot better live, though.
 
heavenly blue is just super boring to watch. wakana sounds really boring - and one light is really irking me cause its being played so much STOPPPPP
Looking forward to Haru wo Matsu and the Magia performance. I've heard the effects for this concert are pretty great.
 
To be fair, One Light, Believe and Blaze are super easy to perform compared to their other songs too, so playing them with such egregious frequency does strike me as pretty damned lazy imo.

If it wasn't for the mediocre Photoshop editing in it it actually is a pretty good cover art.

Of ALL the songs we could have had, it had to be believe? I mean, literally every song in that spot during the tour was better. And Kimi ga is so beautiful...
Anyway, we still have some other good songs...

when will Kala BD/DVD includes all their MC session... I mean even almost every DVDs of Kpop artists who held concerts in Japan include all their MC sessions AND backstage documentary.

I noticed the additional overture too, but, if its the overture it would be too short. The setlists that were out were showing 2 bgms being played

My guess is that they were somehow connecting the bgms with marchen, but in this one maybe they only kept the part of it that was intro to marchen and named it overture.

Setlist makes me sad. I'm grateful for all the live performances, but Kalafina really needs to stop performing these songs because they've already been done to death.

I'll give HnS, Kyrie and YnD a pass because I like these songs, tho into the water, YnD and far on the water shouldn't exist in the same setlist.

Why'd they even release this. They could've put the songs that haven't gotten a BD release into a special disc for their 10th anniversary smh. I'm glad for Samidare and Ashita no Keshiki FINALLY being released, but still.
 
I just hope they decide to release Kimi ga on a side video, like how they did with the other songs from the arena live. Like how George was really looking forward to the zaregoto performances, I was really looking forward to a performance of Kimi ga.... or at least something that isn't believe :leaf:
 
My thoughts exactly, @Seasonreaper! Might as well save on the shipping fee.

I must say I’m disappointed that there will be no Kimigahikarinikaeteyuku performance to watch, but at the same time, I’m VERY intrigued by “believe ~piano version~”..... Also, I personally think Yumeno Daichi LIVE is more interesting than symphonia LIVE... So I’m not *TOO* disappointed? But at the same time the hype for this release in general was never up there to begin with.

I’m just interested in “Ashitano Keshiki”, really.

As for the cover image? It seems like too much going on at the same time, but I just appreciate how colorful it is. Guess they’re going for a more DRAMATIC image for this release... but why? Setlist boring as hell :p
