I think Wakana has the most problematic part of DU. Then again, it is not like it is a big one tbh, and her voice makes things "easier" for her, so yeah. Other than that, the only one who could have any problems with this song would be Hikaru, and only because the last chorus could require a good amount of breath from her, especially for the very last part.

^ Yup, I think you're right. When I sing it, especially Hikaru's longer parts, I'm sitting down concentrating and holding the notes, whereas she has to do a million things at once thanks to the choreography.

At the risk of repeating myself, I don't know why they have to do the choreography at all...I mean, how many times have they had to do the synchronized pointing now? They did it in Te to Te, they did it in In Your Eyes... :vortex:

aye aye :XD: I was going to post the link here on the forum!! *_________* I hope you like it!! Sorry for the quality but there weren't in the scanner :(((

I really enjoyed it, but I think the Red Moon blu-ray is still my favourite. No complaints about the sound, although I'm not sure about the video quality itself. Maybe it's just that the lighting wasn't right for the cameras? I'm not sure. I didn't notice any quality issues once they got going.

The setlist seemed a bit uneven in that the faster songs were in the second half before the encore...no wonder the girls looked tired! I do think they're at their best when they're able to be themselves though...I couldn't understand much of the MC dialogue but that's when their personalities and the group dynamic between them really show. It's a shame they aren't able to have the more 'informal' atmosphere of the FJ concerts...I'm sure none of us would mind that, right? :)

The Red Moon version of Ongaku is my fave of the two performances I think - how could they outdo the part where Keiko and Koichi 'dance' together during the guitar solo?! :nosebleed: - but I really enjoyed Love Come Down and Sandpiper. I do agree that some songs worker better live than others...Magnolia is a case in point. It doesn't seem to have the same forcefullness and 'punch' in a stadium setting so wasn't the highlight like I expected it to be. Symphonia sounded HUGE though!

The only disappointment for me really was the vocals in snow falling...I might be coming across as being overly critical, but overall it's a great performance. Sadly Red Moon was slightly better from my personal POV...I suppose it's a case of them setting themselves a really high standard with each release.

...stil waiting... :leaf:

Hopefully it comes in time for the Easter holidays... :uh..: :rain:

@ritardando: Basically I agree with you, although I'm not as irritated by Hikaru's louder voice as you are. I do have to say, though, that I don't really find D.U. a difficult song to sing myself, which is pretty rare (most Kala songs are way too hard for me)...then again, I don't even try to sing Wakana's part, which is extremely high at about E, and I don't do choreography while singing :XD:

What I mean in D.U is not Hikaru's louder voice, it's Keiko :) But if you means her nasally voice like in 'in your eyes', yeah, I'm totally irritated by her voice there, it's too...ear-pinching. I agree that D.U is not really hard to sing, because the melody is quite flat, and I agree with the point KP-X said about Hikaru sing the "yuku no" and how she able to hold it to the end. When I sing D.U, I have to end in "yuku",then take a breath to hold the "no"...It just like in D.U, after the pointless head-bang, Hikaru is obviously too tired when sing the "jibun no kizu naraba, etc.." but when she didn't do the choreography and take a little rest in the kajiuran part, she was able to sing the final 2 stanzas well.

Now that I watch the whole DVD, I found Red Moon live is better in lighting, After Eden is too blinding in lighting.

for me it's the best live ever :sohappy: , even the red moon in this live is better than red moon in red moon live itself, so dramatic, fascinating, i couldn't even blink, i love the stage and the lightings, i love how those girls running around happily in some beat songs without losing their proffesionality, really cute (especially keiko ugghh...) :nosebleed:

even all of my friends says the same: this is the best live ever, because of this after eden lives, i could make 3 of my friends become kalafina fans :XD:

You know, sometimes I wonder if Kalafina live release exists so people can actually share their thought (read: critics) cuz you certainly have hard time to pay attention to these kinds of things when you actually watch it live :plot:

yeah! I haven't watched the DVD yet but I'll just say that during the one real kalafina live i've been too, it really is hard to pick out any mistakes due to the excitement and the vibration of the floor, it's just pure fun and enjoyment :sohappy:

^ yeah! Well, unless the mistakes are sticking out like sore thumb, that's whole different problem :XD:

@ Kerahna: wow you said just pure fun and enjoyment!? as expected from Kalafina ^^, i really envy you, i want to see those angels "directly" too, i hope someday i'll be able to :dote:

I was just talking about Hikaru's voice in general, not in D.U. But that's not an important point :ohoho:

You're probably right about the headbanging, but I haven't seen the performance enough to judge. Sometimes it's tough to tell whether they're out of breath, because their voices are edited no matter what. It's easiest to tell with Wakana, because she really shows it on her face when she's struggling.

and from the way she moves, i think Hikaru is not used to headbanging :XD:

haha lol but I think Keiko is, judging from her headbanging with Kaori in Parallel Hearts live :XD: :XD:
