Yuki Kajiura to compose for Zaregoto OVA

Watched it myself too, and i think that the musics are very nice!! Definetely more complex than madoca ones like (sora?) said.
Even the sfx ones are replaced with electroic-like bgm which is far more interesting. As of the plot they all look like a bunch of weirdos (as expected of geniuses, who usually have very high IQ for something and lack in other areas), and some with a murderous intent too, the clock fixing tools put me in warning too, after hearing the medium's advice. About the ED, after hearing few times the flute sounds less out of place.

Watched it yesterday. Haven't read the books.

I liked the music, it was standing out / "captivating" at several points, it wasn't just disappearing under the plot like in Bokumachi etc. Also loved the flute, but I'm extremely biased towards loving flute sounds, so my opinion doesn't really count :XD:

Otherwise, the episode was slightly confusing to me. Reminded me of sometimes when you walk into a party and you're introduced to 15 people at once, and you know for sure you can't remember anyone at all until you start interacting with some of them individually.

I watched it too.

I liked, first time I saw I thought the characters design was too simple, but at least the background compensate this.

So many characters were introduced, I don't know if is valid because I'll just forget their names until the next episode comes in. They should have introduced only the ones who the main character talked to.

I loved the music that played in the beginning, with the credits and the ending. It's pretty similar to IEN but there's something else, when Keiko sings it's even more different.

Since george said... I'm wondering who is gonna die.

indeed this does sound very clear. About the PV they seem to have mixed scenes from ep 1 and 2. An Earthquake ? thats kinda rare in such kind of anime

interview of Aoi Yuuki http://www.animatetimes.com/news/details.php?id=1477741343

omg, she's cuter than the characters she plays !!:dote:
(in that outfit and hairstyle doesnt look older than 15 lol, but im sure she is)
[wtf with that FORK under her bowtie ? haha]

there are 2 questions where she's asked bout Yuki kajiura being composer for both this and Madoka

^ Why expected ? They do it often ? I dont remember it happening with the Madoka ones.

No episode for christmass holidays then

They delayed Vampire Bund home video releases. I'm sure you are aware of how SHAFT "struggles" during their TV runs often sending 'unfinished' episodes to TV stations. tldr: Zaregoto getting delayed is no surprise being an original home video production.

Madoka releases were delayed too but that one had a whole additional set of circumstances with the earthquake happening...

Madoka's episodes all came out on the correct date other than the last two due to earthquakes, as far as I recall. I watched it the day it aired each ep and I don't remember any such instances.

There was a mention of the episodes being finished the same day they were airing on many weeks, which i think was in an interview with Shinbo? I forget where exactly, but it's still pretty crazy. Bakemonogatari's final arc was delayed and released later however.

I meant the bluray releases. As I said, that delay probably had a lot to do with the earthquake even though we know all Madoka episodes were still touched up heavily (re-done even) compared to the TV versions. It happens on all their shows so it's not particularly surprising they are delaying their original home video production.

Idunno. The earthquake I was mentioning was the 2011 Tohoku earthquake during Madoka's run. Regarding Zaregoto delay your guess is as good as mine, although I'm sticking to "SHAFT is not good with deadlines" from my experience with their shows.

Trying to be funneh? Her being involved wouldn't cause a delay on an anime, her own CD - probably...

Aha, fair enough. It's pretty likely that the BD touched up versions were what the series was supposed to look like when it aired anyway, but yeah, SHAFT. I like what they do but it's usually plagued by issues along the way.

It's because of their mess up that the first uses of Magia were slower than they should've been as well.
