Yuki Kajiura to compose for Zaregoto OVA

After last episode and SAO movie ost i had low expectations, but turned out quite good :D
alot of track full versions. So i guess that from now on we get recycle until the climax comes.

- sfx
- OP
- longer version of piano/violin track
- flute/percussion (partly new i believe)
- sitar/bgm (new) (she hasnt used these 2 since FZ)
- main theme piano (rearrangement, new and even if its not has new part)
- piano/violin (old) (this too has new part)
- new bgm (main theme again) this time just beat and (faster) piano
- sfx (has some cello at the end) (old, but i guess its full size)
- new bgm with cello/strings (tired of hearing this kind of strings end-of-track melody)
- flute/percussion (same melody as last one at start, but then it has strings too)
- new bgm (this one is actually interesting even though electronic, does have melody)
- ED

This is one of the anime that you have to watch with subs only because all they do is to talk lol

I agree. While I like this type of melody, it's been used in pretty much every anime. I will have to watch the episode again, since it was kind of hard to hear the music in this ep for some reason. The series is getting more interesting. Makes me want to read the novels. It also reminds me a little of Detective Conan with the Aikawa person being like Kudo. lol
 
This series would really benefit from the netflix treatment. Murder mysteries lend themselves well to binge watching sessions, and most people will probably wait for all 8 episodes in june anyways. Plus, that extra time would give shaft a chance to clean up the art and animation; this series is clearly having production problems.

Anyway, this episode was decent. The mystery is moving really slowly, and blue girl's explanation was needlessly wordy and convoluted. That rape implication at the end was pretty dark though. I don't remember reading that in the translation.

Music was also really nice. There were some new pieces this episode, and I think we've heard about 15 or so different tracks, so about half of the soundtrack.
 
SHAFT always has production issues anyway, they're usually a studio that fixes stuff later on for BD releases although I don't know how that'll work for this.

They already pushed back the volumes a month (after they started releasing it) so that's how. ;)

Also, they might make a movie edition so they can update shit. Re: Madoka again.
 
Seasonreaper maybe they will release these episodes again as BD box set later, if this get popular and they end up making TV anime (because remember this OVA uses only the first volume of the novel)

Why cant they finish 8 damn episodes on time while they do that fine when it comes to TV anime ? :voodoo: Also, OST when ?

It's not like they delayed this months episode. It makes sense to release a statement with the latest volume. (I presume some news leaflet about the delay is probably also included with the physical Vol.5.)

Except that's the point. They really don't do a "fine" job finishing their episodes for TV airings! This is SHAFT. Zaregoto's home video delays are not surprising at all.

New incidents in this episode . From whats happening i think the culpit could be either the owner or the head maid or, of course, the medium woman. Alibis are a thing but they can be a lie.

Whatever this website is, if it's their fault I don't know, but I have to turn the volume way up in order to hear any sounds whatsoever. It was the opposite of Funimation DVDs, with sound being louder than talking. Ugh. I have to go back and really listen now. But now it is getting really interesting. I love detective shows/novels and locked rooms are interesting. Conan solved a number of them. heh
 
^ I use that site years now. If you volume is down you should check :
1. the volume of the video, that is at the right or left side of the player
2. volume of your device
3. if you have external speakers, their volume.

Btw they announced a screening and talk event for April 28, where Aoi Yuuki and Hiroki Kaji ("Boku") will be there and they will screen the first 5 episodes on cinema

http://zaregoto-series.com/ the Zaregoto website has updated with new layout (doesnt load on chrome but loads on firefox) , but aside from that there's still no update on soundtrack. Really wondering what are they waiting for. Will the release or not depend on the BD/DVD sales ?
