Yuki Kajiura to compose for Zaregoto OVA

Cause that's what it's adapting, I guess?

I mean, they didn't really start referring to Monogatari as a series before the "second season". And even after that they went back to just using the novel titles. I guess with *monogatari titles it's easier to know that a show is part of that series but with Zaregoto (and its OVA status) I honestly can't think they are aiming for any other audience than the already established SHAFT/NisiOisiN fanbase so it doesn't matter anyway (assuming they make more). Especially after this PV.

First novel's synopsis from Wikipedia:

Ii-chan and his friend, the computer genius Tomo Kunagisa, are invited to Wet Crow's Feather Island in the sea of Japan. The island is owned by Iria Akagami, a wealthy disinherited heiress who has been living in exile on the island with her maids for the last five years. For entertainment, she regularly invites geniuses like Kunagisa to stay on the island. When one of the guests is found dead - decapitated - Iria decides to ask Jun Aikawa to solve the murder. But it will take several days before Jun will arrive, and Ii-chan decides to investigate the mystery while they wait.

I just listened. I liked it! Madokish, right. Has someone said that the strings sound a bit like IEN?

For some reason the strings rather remind me of Cowardly Little Dogs Are We from El Cazador. I like the sampling of what we've heard I hope the rest of the OST will deliver.
 
Whoever manages the zaregoto website broke it since they have put on full screen the promo video which isnt available on areas outside japan so you cant click anywhere else either. and they put the no-sound as default.

I had the same problem, but it still works on mobile.

When you copy/past directly from a website the text editor keeps the previous format.
 
Looking over the promotional materials for this show, there are a lot of girl characters. This isn't a problem, but considering the monogatari series.....should I expect a harem scenario? Or any kind of perverted fan-service?
 
^ its a mystery/detective one like bokumachi, but it has alot of blabber. I cant tell you thatn from the novel synopsis. Didnt find time to read the novel yet.
 
Is there any news about the new Zaregoto PV they said they would show at Madogatari event ? Or was it limited only for that event ?
 
Most likely limited, a lot of the stuff they've had at Madogatari seems to be exclusive to the event.
