Yes i mean that encore but that song performance was also included in the FJ dvd back then not just the fjy one, thats why i separated it
 
Really reminds me of Usumurasaki from far on the water, but sounds AWESOME. Finally more classic Yuki Kajiura style stuff!!

She could have FictionJunction sing for soundtracks, just credit them individually instead of as FictionJunction.
 
I mean, Yuriko Kaida has done chorus in several Kalafina songs, so it's not like it's this really strict thing anyway

When has Kalafina been credited for vocals for YK's soundtracks?
 
^On the third RHH soundtrack, at least on mine it says Kajiura/Kalafina, but maybe because they did the ending themes.
 
Woohoo! I'm excited for this. I remember seeing the website for this when this was first announced and it looked visually stunning, amazing colours. I hope the animation and music turn out just as gorgeous!
 
OMG I'm sooooo excited for this! I absolutely love the novel - like 100 times more than the Monogatari series lol
And the music clip used in the official website sounds promising...

Without giving any spoilers, could you describe the tone or atmosphere of the story. Would you say it's sad, tense, mysterious, etc.?

It is weird. Hella weird. A bit philosophical at times, with lots of interesting characters - just Nisio being Nisio I guess?

It is mysterious, but I don't really feel sad while reading the books (but maybe that's just me I'm not sure)...the series begins as sort of a detective story (the first two volumes) but eventually has more action and superpowers (?) and all those good stuff :P
It does have some dark themes, and the protagonists' personalities are defective in many ways (they seem to have a dark past but what actually happened is never made very clear in the novels), which may be why Kajiura is chosen for the music?

Hope I haven't spoiled anything :bow:

Also I hear Hikaru, Wakana, Keiko and a 4th voice in the sample
It's not Yuriko, it COULD be either Remi or Wakana harmonising with herself. [EDIT: DEFINITLEY Wakana harmonising with herself.]
The inclusion of Hikaru makes me doubt this will be a big FJ work. Perhaps it'll be kinda like KnK and have a Kalafina focus.
The song doesn't really remind me of any others it just makes me think of walking up a hill in the desert.
Also the violin sounds really good, it doesn't seem to be anything like a quartet, which seems to be akin to what we've been getting.
It seems to be on it's own with no other instruments apart from percussion. I haven't heard that much in Kaijura's stuff recently

I hope this work has a Kaijurago focus, it sounds amazing so far. I'm REALLY excited
 
^ the violin seeems to be alone, something we havent got since pretty much Parallel Hearts. From KnK and on all soundtracks are strings strings strings. Missed violin solos so muuch. The strings might sound cooler but they are not as emotional. I think the 4th voice could be Kajiura, since the voice is same as when you do vocal remover to Tsuioku, where Kajura sings in the background during the whole song.
