Yuki Kajiura to compose for "Hanako to Anne" TV drama

I can't wait for the second soundtrack. I haven't watched in a long time so there will be lots of tracks I haven't heard. For those watching, how does the new music stack up? Do you prefer the pieces from the beginning of the series?

I prefer the use of new instruments better, but there are still some really unusual and beautiful pieces, like the one in this last episode, and I think the one before that. And if Yuki did compose the song for the radio program, it would be really interesting, since it would be one of the only ones with a children's choir in it. (I know there's been El Cazador and Madoka)

It has been interesting that many of the Japanese students that I've spoken to who are currently living in Japan and are visiting for a short while are familiar with "Hanako to Anne". The high television ratings mentioned earlier in this thread do indicate its popularity.

^I really like what I've seen of the show so I'm glad to hear people are watching. Hopefully this means Yuki is getting some nice exposure as well.

^It's okay, I had the same problem. Though now I remember that that was the same one I liked before. *head desk*

Kuga: That's great! I would really like to visit the island that Hanako never got to visit in real life, it looks really beautiful from the video I saw. Nice and calm and relaxing. But I hope Yuki gets more exposure then she already has. I mean, she has Kala and FJ, and other popular groups/osts (Madoka) but this one stands out I think. It's an interesting genre to compose for, so I'm glad she's branching out. Loved the RHH soundtracks as well, but I have yet to see the documentaries.

I found the interview with Yuki, while searching for the new episode. If someone could please translate? I did not know you could send in questions for her, otherwise I would have gotten a twitter account for that. heh Also, doesn't the woman host look like the older of the professors at Hana's school? She looks like her but a little thinner.

Okay, so what happened so that Yuichi was released? It seemed like he was only gone for a little while.

I have no idea.
There aren't many episodes left and they accelerating everything.

By the way, there was a video of a Canadian government official talking about the show I think so it's pretty much high up there including the ratings.

^It was a mystery of how the book was given to her, irl, but I liked the way they did it in the show. The way Miss Scott looked I thought something more horrible happened when she told her she was moving back to Canada.

From the facebook page, translated lol: "# Amy and Amy committed teacher Ann Scott from "Anne Of Green Gables" immediately hooked and began to read. I think friendship and Renko "bosom friend" really means. (Translated by Bing)" I love how Hanako is translated Amy since that is my cousin's name. And I laughed at bosom friend.

It says here that she received the book from one of her teachers.

Hanako was handed a copy of Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables by a Canadian missionary just before the breakout of WWII, and translated it in secret through the ravages of the war.

^I see, that was one biography I read.

Does anyone notice that Ann Scott has on a polka dot blue and white shirt on underneath her suit? I believe she wore that type of dress or shirt when Hana was younger as well. I think it's because of Anne in the story, and in the theme with the animated girl. It's interesting that their names are the same (except for the e), and Ms. Scott even has red hair. Just little things I am noticing. Also, was the song in the very beginning new? The one right before the opening?

love the track at 10:06. ambiance plus uilleann pipes then strings. I think it was in full this time since it was almost than three minutes (not sure the xylophone? at the beginning was part of the track)

Liana, not sure if that was new but I think I heard a part of it before.

only 18 episodes left!

Hmm, that is interesting, since I think it is also a church hymn melody, since I recognized the tune, but it might just be similar. I will ask my mom to see if she recognizes it.

It was removed already, wow, first time in awhile. Bilibili is caught up though, so hopefully it'll be on there soon.
