Yuki Kajiura to compose for "Boku dake ga inai machi" TV Anime

Just listened to the full version of sore wa chiisana and wow I actually have to agree with ritardando-san with the case that this is one of the best songs Yuki has composed in a while. Honestly, I'd prefer if Kalafina didn't sing this.
 
Wow that episode. I wonder about that teacher though. Hmmm. heh It has been awhile since I wanted it to be next week already because of a show. I'll have to watch it again though since I missed the music. I was too immersed.
 
Liana, the anime airs and is available with subtitles on Wesnedays so you dont have to wait 7 days to see the next but just 4

does this have 24 episodes ? Because i have read up to 1-2 chapters more than what the anime is now, and the manga is on vol 7 now, its impossible to cover it all in 14 episodes, but on the other hand there isnt enough manga material for 24 considering 8 episodes consumed 5 manga volumes. Will they make anime original episodes ?

I thought it was going to be the manga ending ?
There will be 12 episodes btw.
This show is getting rushed as hell and more predictable but I guess it's inevitable.
 
i think there wont be an anime ending because if they do it they wont be able to continue it if its commercially successful (and it is) they will just stop it at the neighbouring school's girl case.
 
The manga ending was confirmed. I just don't know how the writers are going to get there when the story seems to have entered a brand new story arc.
 
well it's episode 9 and there is still nothing really impressive from the music. yes it fits and everything but the whole soundtrack seems a bit plain.
and there are two soundtracks to be released...
 
dont get too excited about the number 2, half of the first ost is gonna be SFX tracks (like it happened in FZ and Sao) and varations of the theme melody.

Im sad about the absence of vocals (maybe she has 1 or 2 for the last ep?) this is the third soundtrack she does that after hanako and sao. Is she out of ideas for songs ? Or its a new composing approach ?
 
It does but it has less than the previous osts, 8 tracks in 133. The hanako had only 1 in 113 and boku dake ga will likely have none the way its going. Last ost with no vocals at all was achilles to kame, and this will be the first out of the anime ones since she started writing lyrics for anime osts.

well, I said it if not a thousand times, but Kajiura has been lazy lazy lazy (in terms of composition, she might be preoccupied with lives).

the main theme is enjoyable but nothing special. it's all sfx and the SAME OLD piano pieces etc. I can't remember a single track that stood out.
 
^ busy with what ? she finished Boku dake ga inai machi music before the new year, and Alcira no hoshi is writen by Shinji Tanimura. I doubt she is doing much for Kalafina's lives besides maybe choosing the setlists.
 
^ I don't know much about the Kalafina lives frankly. but yeah she's probably not doing much at the moment.

doesn't matter, the work here is lazy, with no respect toward the work whatsoever. there can't be because there isn't a SINGLE track where there is some unique touch to the show. and believe me she is very much aware of this. it's blatantly obvious. i'm a bit worried :)

It would be disrespectful if the music didn't fit the show. Not sure how you feel about that, but in my opinion it does fit.
I do agree that it's nothing amazing, but I wasn't expecting much considering the setting and story.

i dont agree with you, there were some good ones, eg ep 8 at 19:38. Besides, in SAO people were saying that she didnt like the story and thats why music wasnt good, but here she has reportedly said that she did follow the manga even before she was asked for the anime's bgm and that she gladly acccepted, so what's wrong now ?
 
what I meant by respect is that there is no unique character. it's practically the same notes as some other songs. it's just uninspiring self-plagiarism.

I agree that it fits the show perfectly well, captures the moments but on its own the soundtrack is dull.

I guess I wasn't expecting much either. ? anyway hope it gets better?
