^ I was refering to salva nos, yume no tsubasa, zodical sign, everlasting song, and mezame that she woudnt take out of the setlists for about 2 years. At least this time everlasting song is with Asuka and Mezame with Hanae Tomaru ^^

There's a thing though, there are songs that are great for concerts because they build up the excitement from the crowd and encourage them to participate and share, and that's shy they remain staples in setlists through the years. I think this is the case with Kalafina's Ongaku and Zodiacal sign, salva nos and Mezame. I have no issues with everlasting song since it's actually one of my favorite Kajiura songs :ohoho:

I think singing those songs again and again would be fine if she bothered to make new arrangements, or add new lyrics or solos.

Right but almost all battle themes Yuki makes serve this purpose too, like evocation, the battle is to the stong (I was glad seing it entering the setlists), fate to zero, on the battlefield, promised pain, when the fairytail ends (the battle part), and the list continues for 20 more lines :XD: so why use only 3 when she can use 30 different ones?

Might it be because these songs have the potential for all four singers to be included inside? I mean, some songs to her may just be more suited for high pitch or low pitch singers, which leaves the other 1-2 or even 3 singers 'hanging there'. :confu:

Or it could be because they have appeal to the mass Japanese public. I mean, I rmb Anna ni and Nowhere (Kala ver) apparently appealed to the Japanese public so Kala performed them. :confu:

Just IMO, though.

I would love different songs to be included inside, really.

^ There are about 4000 or so members in FictionJunction Club... if all of them attend YK Live vol. #10, there won't be a huge number of seats left for anyone else. These live events are for the really dedicated fans who have probably bought most of the videos and attended other live events.

It appeared to me from the January 6 concert that the order of the songs were arranged to let the singers perform at their best, giving breaks between more demanding songs, and I'd expect that to happen on May 11.

@george: The lyrics of salva nos, zodiac sign and everlasting song are easier to sing along than some of the other great songs you mentioned. It's not really a good song to fire up the audience regardless of its quality if they can't follow it or the mood is too solemn (the battle is to the stars) for them to get into it.

This is just my 2 cents, of course. I also think there are a great many songs I would like to see performed rather than the same we always get, but in every artist's concert there's always a section for the classics because those are the ones people can really rock out to and they become representative of the band/singer.

its "strong" not stars, the stars are in "let the stars fall down" :XD: (if the battle was on the stars, it would be Star Wars, not Fate Zero :ohoho: )

As for easier to follow, I think its all about getting used to them, and when it comes to japanese audience, they dont like that much to sing along, I remember many times where Kalafina were trying to make them sing at the bridges but they wouldnt start no matter how much Keiko was jumping around the stage :XD:

personally I think evocation has really easy lyrics. In fact she could do a silent ceremony + evocation medley since the second doesnt have much vocals.

You've made a point here. I cant help remembering me standing up, making my own cheers..not following any "japanese synchro audience thing" and of course SINGING!!!. Everyone was like :omg: dame dame da! hahah  in songs like serenato where people were just sitting or even lirica! (why the.......would people do this in lirica??). I had fun almost shouting kajiurago though.:nosebleed:

but i got the feeling that japanese audiences would only react to certain compositions and its really hard for them to enjoy others..even if these are rocking or make you dance imo.....ive always thought lirica is a freaking dancing track... :sohappy:

Seems like there will be a second fanclub lottery and those that joined in January are eligible to enter.

Assuming I actually entered the club successfully... (I haven't received anything yet). Do they send the information out through email? Am i supposed to receive anything through email... like a welcome mail or is everything done through snail mail?

^ I don't know if they send you an email but they definitely send you an information pack by regular mail.

You could try emailing them to confirm your membership.

(I didn't join directly, but gave the details to my travel agent who provided their postal address, telephone number and email address for my contact details).

Yeah, you all do have a point. When I watched some lives on youtube I couldn't help noticing that they are....too calm on concerts. I mean the audience xD
I dont know how is it otherwheres but here we jump, dance, sing on concerts. It depends on concert mood wheter ppl do it less or more but its hard to imagine to only stand still in the concert, so yeah, it surprises me a bit too :XD:

@takfogger
i don't think it's "hard" for japanese people to enjoy music/certain compositions...that's the most weirdest thing i've ever heard...you can't just judge a culture like that. it's just part of the culture to not 'dance sing along woo hoo'. every culture enjoys music their own way. but i do get frustrated sometimes too :XD:

Well, I didnt mean to judge them, I do agree with you. Im just saying its totally different than our way :groucho:

oh, no i was actually referring to what takfogger had said :XD: sorry! i should've added a '@takfogger'

^ Actually what I dont like in western concerts is that they scream way too much, see for example the footages from Kalafina's concert in Boston, there's so much screaming you cant even hear the songs. Japanese are on the other side of the road where they dont react even slitely (like singing along, but they love to move their hands up and down :XD: ) so I am thinking that some of the reasons of this behaviour are: 1) Respect to the artist that's singing: If the fans scream, the artist would have to sing even louder. 2) Because almost every live is recorded/filmed, too much audience noise would create problems in the video/audio of the live, eg, if some hardcore fans are next to the camera guy, and they scream :XD:

^ that's true. i remember at ax 2 years ago (almost..right?) people were screaming during the songs...like really???! lol :XD: i understand clapping after solos, but screaming during songs? jeez...americans..haha

@George, Nimsaj: yeah, you're pretty right :XD:

But I would still miss the jumping/dancing/singing along part (not screaming :XD: ). Its just that friendly atmosphere and interractions with other fans and artist :sohappy:
