Yuki Kajiura Birthday Project 2013!

What should we do ?

not all pics have to be th same size I guess, in the book we can place many close so that all of them as a big as a bigger one for example.
 
Participating, from Chile~ I can take some photographs from some places here (I have never travel to other country), but, since my country has a big variety of landscapes, I think it would be enough...
 
Participating from Malaysia...I already have some landscapes photos....but most are nature one...since the place I live is more close to nature....about the poem I want to help...but then I need someone to fix my grammar mistakes!

- i can do the map if someone gives me a list with all countries
- i am a bit skilled in photoshop so i can help with arranging the images/anything
- i can help with the poems, but i'm not so good at this
- will not contribute with images due to various reasons

^ Great! We were searching for someone to do the map. Some other issue, is what software will we need to use for this project ? Just MS word type of program (like last year) or something else too (you can do the map in photoshop) ?
 
^What information are we gonna put in the map? our usernames? or should we add a little bit of information about ourselves? like how we encountered Yuki's music? or our likes, hobbies etc? :ayashii:

Um no, there will be no space for these in the map, in the map there will be usernames and if you want a really short photo of yourself in avatar style (about 1/4 the size of the forum ones). We can maybe put the other info you menthion in the page before the country you provide photos for (but I dont think hobbies are necessary)

I've added a participation log in the first post of the thread viewtopic.php?p=223738#p223738 make sure to say that you participate and your country if you want to participate and you are not already there. Are those that said that can help with the poem implying they cant provide photos ? :confu:
 
^Maybe we can make it clickable. For example the country Philippines, there are two circles there, representing two active members. If one is clicked, it will then show the profile of that member. In the profile we can put in anything interesting about ourselves. The profile can be the personal touch of the members, something we want to share to everyone and to Yuki. What do you think? :ohoho:
 
An interactive book is able to jump from page to page. We can have the map in one page and the profiles in another.

EDIT: Ooops, I must have missed it. Are we gonna present it as a hardcopy? :desksweat:
 
Yes, I can do the map in photoshop, and I think the text/images should be done in Word, then I and whoever offers to help will make the pages more appealing in photoshop.

i have to kill the one that made the bakemonogatari page, the text is so unfitting, I can do better
^ This is from a magazine I've been working on :XD: so for the book the layout will be totally different, though if this is decided I'll do my best so they look better.

And about the map, I thought of having only the countries from which we know fans of you displayed, sort of an incomplete map of the world, the map of the Kajiura Kingdom! :XD:
Well, I propose we add usernames if you want, and a message for Yuki or idk, but keep in mind that there is very less space for that in the map. And adding photos/preferences and other things makes it too personal in my opinion.

No but how can it become interactive? AFAIK that's not possible with MS word, but maybe its with Powerpoint type of programs?

mashimomenu: I have exams around that time too. The deadline will be about 10 days before Yuki's Birthday (which is August 6) so July 28.
 
@george1234: What's the deadline for the cover art?
I'm thinking of drawing a pen&paper(representing the photos) and camera(representing the photos), and the vocals in tiny size, chibi style playing with the tools, if the base color of the cover is white/ivory.
If you don't like the idea, then I'll just draw a happy Yuki for the cover(actually this is kinda easier for me)

BTW tabete.mio said that she wants to help with the coverart too..what do we do ;_;?
 
^ The deadline will be 10 days prior the birthday too, I guess (or 5 days if you dont have time). We had happy Yuki drawing 3 years ago when we did the song cover. Some other ideas would be picturing lyrics of "Door", showing Yuki opening the Door to welcome that boy the song talks about, or even draw Yuki and the other german boy kissing around the rasberry bushes or Yuki taking a look in a globe sphere, while at the desk wehere she sits on there is a big paper saying "Yuki Kajiura World Tour" while the girls in chibi form look at some photos.

oh and you could probably co-operate with tabete mio .

One of you could make artwork for the cover of the book, while the other could make something for the title page.
