“reconstructing a full picture” from Zaregoto OST. I still cannot get my elaborate dream of FJ w/ Yuuka and Hikaru opening a concert with this song out of my mind.

Lol yeah same here, I've actually always felt that that song (especially in the instrumentals) is super traditionally Japanese sounding, (it was composed by some Japanese people too I think) which is why I kinda found it offputting when they put the Korean ver on Move.
I can definetely hear the similarities to Kajiura though, now that you mention it

@sarasara whenever Flame of Love came on my playlist I thought I was listening to Only I am Missing (the notes are not the same but it gave a similar vibe for me) or smth from Kajiura discography and I was always surprised since I don't think I put a Kajiura song in that playlist :XD:

And yes it does sound very Japanese as in it has a very anime-like sound to it. It sounds like an anime soundtrack hence that Kajiura connection in my head. Should listen to the Japanese version more.

This is one of the two EXO comeback song that I really liked (the other one being Love Me Right) and I'm sad that this is not very popular bcs most people prefer Monster, which is also a good song but I like this one more. Also, this song sounds very...SHINee-esque to me and I kinda hope that SHINee would cover this song sometime lol
 
@ritardando Omg I just re-listened to Only I Am Missing for the first time in forever and you're right it totally reminds me of Flame of Love, that's so weird lmao:XD:

And IKK, Lucky One and Love Me Right are my 2 favorite EXO singles by far, and that's only because they sound so SHINee- esque.
I liked Monster too but I muchhh preferred Lucky One, the public has such shit taste lol. It would be so cool if SHINee covered that song though, I agree.
Lol that reminds me of this video of EXO covering SHINee's Why So Serious from a while back, I've always found it kinda cool. I love how Chen gets all of Jonghyun's lines :XD:

I love the intro of this song, Luna's voice sounds so good and then those harmoniess gah

The harmonies in this song are also amazing (especially in the bridge) and then Luna's belting:hearts:
 
@sarasara diamond is one of my favorite from 4 Walls album. That song is full of sass and i love every second of it.

Chen and Krystal sounded so good together but there was some awkward moment where they both sang the harmony but Chen recovered and sang the melody after 1 line lol

Krystal apparently received a lot of backlash when she was chosen as SM The Ballad member instead of Luna but idk the song she was chosen to sing (not this one, but this one https://youtu.be/25IfYq_DbzE) was more fitting for her instead for Luna? Also it was in Japanese and both Luna's and Amber's japanese enunciation is bad...Krystal's and Victoria's japanese enunciation is much better than theirs.

On side notes @sarasara apparently BTS is set to perform at American Music Awards and the reason was solely because their music is a proof of american music spreading globally (according to billboard - that's also why they do really well in USA, being the only Kpop group to break in top 10 in Billboard Chart or whatever)

Isn't it ironic that the reason they're so popular is also the reason why their music isn't our taste at all lol and our opinion that their music is so american sounding is also accepted by professional music critics. Anw I can't wait for more and more fanwars between Armys and EXO-Ls.

And should we exchange another form of communication lol i feel like we're tainting this forum with our neverending Kpop discussion

Yeah about that Krystal thing, while I overall prefer Luna as a vocalist, I definetely think that this song suited Krystal's voice more. It's very sweet and light, which is exactly what I think Krystal's voice excels at, Luna's voice is very strong and powerful, it would've been too overpowering for a song like this. Also, it's in Japanese, and Japan tends to like those cutesy light vocals lol
I wish that one of the versions of that song was with Jonghyun and Krystal lol. I like Jonghyun better than Changmin and Krystal better than Taeyeon, so...:XD:

LOL, about bts, I know right? Like I totally get the reason why they're so popular here, their music sounds exactly like the American stuff I hear everywhere here.
I mean, I guess it's good that kpop is getting more global recognition, but I really wish that other groups would get it instead... I'm really sick of seeing bts everywhere lol

And haha yeah, that's probably a good idea... I have a feeling we're probably annoying a lot of people here with our constant Kpop talks lol

I don't really like Suzy's voice (hearing her complete lack of support compared to Baekhyun's support and resonance is super obvious lol) but I like Baekhyun's and this is a good song, it's super relaxing and chill.

Chen X Heize- Something
I really like all of Chen's Station tracks, they all really showcase how talented of a vocalist he is, and he sounds so good here too.
