I agree that Wakana is an essential part of Kalafina. If Wakana quits, I don't think I'll ever have the heart to listen to the new Kalafina or new FictionJunction anymore. If Wakana thinks she's unnoticed, actually from my point of view she's the most noticed member when it comes to voices compared to Keiko and Hikaru. Keiko is noticed most probably because she's cute and Hikaru has personality. It's the voice that matters in the music industry. Um... no offense of Keiko and Hikaru's fans. I like them too.
From my observation, in almost all of Kalafina's songs, Wakana had the biggest part altogether. Keiko had the least. Hikaru, moderate. I know Wakana is stressed and her thoughts of quitting is probably just a temporary stress. GANBATTE, WAKANA!

I TOTALLY agree with you!!!! Gambatte gambatte WACCHAN!!!! you will see that everything will be fine :sohappy:

Yeah, I don't want it too. I'll leave if Wakana or Keiko leave... because Kala won't have their dark-sad atmosphere without Wakana and beautiful and powerful harmony from Keiko...

Well, just do what we can and pray the best, not only for Wakana, but for all of Yuki's utahimes. And now I kinda afraid of Keiko, because she is using chest voice and sometimes pushed her voice to get deeper but ended forcing. I just read that too much forcing on chest voice could lead to vocal deterioration...

From the beginning, though I know that Wakana and Keiko's singing styles are the most dangerous and un-recommendable ones...

@Ophelia : I totally disagree with you on Keiko having the least part. In seventh heaven, most Wakana-lead songs have less Hikaru and in most Hikaru lead songs have less Wakana, but Keiko stands as harmonizer and get the most lines. Red Moon is pretty balanced, but After Eden, Keiko may not have a big portion but she mostly doing harmony throughout all songs. Like in your eyes and sandpiper. Wakana don't sing in both songs' Hikaru's part and so does Hikaru. After all, Keiko's harmony is the thing that make Kalafina unique and have their own color in music industry.

True. I always heard Keiko's voice in the background, singing along with either Wakana or Hikaru. Yes, she's the harmonizer in Kalafina. Three of them are important.

+ 11!! ALL OF THEM HAVE A UNIQUE VOICES , ARE ALL ESSENTIALS!! :shy: Kalafina DAISUKI always!!!
Yuki-sama TAKE CARE OF THEM!!!

Sorry, I'm not sure this is in the Record. Anyway, at the interview's conclusion she said she's definitely NOT withdrawing. Should have made that clear from the beginning, my bad.

Wakana has a Bright voice while Keiko has Dark voice... these are two elemental powers in kalafina song that need both :ohoho:

Nope nope ^^ I'm very happy to listen it!! and I'm totally agree with Zoa!! Wacchan and Keechan , like Hicchan are VERY essential members for the group!!
And I repeat she just needs a little 'rest between concerts and other!!
We can rest easy! Yuki-sama watch over their!

Being in a Kalafina member under Yuki-sama's guidance is fun. I don't see any serious reason Wakana wanted to quit. But since Wintersviolet had made it clear that Wakana isn't quitting, I feel relieved a lot. :cheer:

Yep yep!! I agree with you too *_______________* Wacchan probably said this thing after her throat problems and so it's normal that she needs a little rest , also saw the large number of commitments ^^
You'll see that in the next lives , she'll be perfect as always!! :shy:

@ninetales: I'm pretty sure the letters in kalafina club are censored. I sent a letter asking about Maya and... well, they didn't read it, ofc. So don't get your hope high. It's better to send it to a certain Kajiura mail haha :ayashii:

Gotta agree with Yuki88. When it comes to radio shows in general, the staff can choose to exclude this sort of "sensitive" mails all together or omit certain sections of the mail so even if the mail is read on air, they won't read the omitted parts. Also there's no guarantee whether the hosts (Kalafina, in this case) will read all of the mails off air. Some radio hosts do make the effort to privately read the rest of the fan mails which didn't get the chance to be read on air while some don't.

If you'd like your opinions to be heard, your best bet is probably to send a formal letter or e-mail to the producer or management. And... I think Twitter is too casual to be taken seriously. They may think you're a troll/spambot. :XD:

Yep an email is more probably that they read it :XD:

I'm still very concerned about Wakana's wellbeing here, but if fans/listeners think something's not right I'm guessing (I'd hope!) that the musicians/staff she works with have noticed already too. What amazes me is how many songs they've recorded since she joined...I'm more familiar with touring indie bands that go through a cycle of live shows, rehearsals/songwriting and recording sessions before taking themselves on the road again, but I can't think of any other group off the top of my head that record an entire album on a yearly basis...certainly not one whose vocalists are often involved in other side-projects too. I've heard of heavy metal-style artists having to take time off from straining their voices, but their styles are different and don't usually have voice coaches to help them along so I don't suppose it's the same thing really. :confu:

Short version: Kala's recording and performance schedule seems really demanding by anyone's standards, so I'd assume that the people involved are keeping an especially close eye on each other (they seem to spend a lot of time together after all).

Even if the record company are less compassionate than they ought to be, it's still in their best business interests to ensure their employees are in a fit state to work in the long - as well as short - term. From what I've read in this thread so far, whatever health issue Wakana's experiencing at the moment is something that the industry is familiar with.

I'm not sure about the best way to contact them either, but I don't think you'd do any harm by trying. If nothing else, it might take some of the emotional pressure off her since she's probably feeling obliged to put on a brave face for the sake of the others.

I also agree that we're only seeing the outward signs if there IS a problem - interviews and so forth are probably edited for a number of reasons...some reasons being perfectly innocent and others perhaps less so.

To end this ramble, I have to emphasise that I want to see Wakana's welfare prioritised before anything else. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd be perfectly okay with the group taking a break from performing and recording for a while. I'd hate to think that she's in genuine distress and worried that she's letting the others down!

I don't see anything wrong with Wakana's performances. The After Eden LIVE seems better than Kalafina's previous live concerts, I mean Wakana sounds more awesome than the recorded songs.

I agree with you Martin and as I said before , I think Yuki-sama always works in the interest of her singers and Wakana definitely like the others, is followed by preparatory vocal!!

@Ophelia : I have on the pc!
I look for it and send you *_______*

I noticed that during the live in a few notes like "basho ee" of Ongaku she was less potent as Red Moon live! But her voice is aweasome!!
And I think that as a soprano is normal to get tired before the other , so a bit 'more rest can only help her

Wakana is almost perfect during her After Eden Special live concert. Especially in Magnolia and Kyrie. I love Kyrie.

Aye aye!! Kajiuran part of Kyrie is PERFECT and I <3 Wacchan in Destination Unknown when she sings "yume wo katarisugite
inochi ga karuku narisou de
ai no kyoukasho ni wa
nani mo kaitenasasou de"
with Kecchan and they overlap to Hicchan :dote:
