Updating/Fixing the Discography

One of the things I got myself for xmas was a copy of Kimagure Orange Road OST : )

http://canta-per-me.net/discography/skor-ost/
(used http://vgmdb.net/album/28622 to figure out the kanji names)

Music: Yuki Kajiura (1-13, 15-20), IKUKO (14, 21)
Arrangement: Yuki Kajiura (7), Kenichi Kimura (7), Aki Kudo (chorus arrangement, 7), Yasuaki Maejima (14, 21)
Lyrics: Aki Kudou (7), Goro Matsui (14, 21)
Vocals: Aki Kudou (7), IKUKO (14, 21)

Musicians:
Piano:
Yasuharu Nakanishi (1, 4, 16, 19)
E. Guitar: Jun Sumida (4, 15, 18), EBBY (9, 10)
A. Guitar: Jun Sumida (2), EBBY (17)
Bass: Kenji Takamizu (1)
Drums: Aki Kudou (9, 10, 17)
Sax: Takuya Yamamoto (2)
Percussion: Obawo Nakajima (1, 12, 16, 18, 20)

**Takuya Yamamoto is what Google translate gave me for 山本拓也 so it could be wrong
**it says Agua on the tracklisting but IKUKO in the credits, so maybe Agua was a character from the show/movie?

Also, the booklet contains some note from YK. I'll scan it tomorrow if someone's interested in translating.

I've also added Yuri Kasahara and Yuuka Nanri (live version only) to the lyrics section of "Sajin no Kanata e". The listing on the CD liner notes is incomplete.

Hey guys, lets update the older soundtracks with full credits (musicians, chorus) since i have noticed that many dont have them

the .hack//sign booklet has comments by both YK and the sound producer as well as an interview with Kajiura. I'll scans those pages later

@ scans: thanks aki, I will forward them to Yuki.n to see if she can translate :)
or I could also ask Takashi if she cant

I'd like to work towards having the kana form of names of musicians and track titles alongside the romaji and/or translated names so that it is easier to find stuff on Japanese sites given the information we have on canta-per-me.net.

I agree. Whenever I get/download a new CD, I go to vgmdb instead of cpm because they have the kana as well as romaji/english. However, I don't know how well it would look on the entries on the main site

^ usually CD Japan and amazon.jp has the items listed in english so I think there's no issue on that

as for the musicians names, that would take alof of space, but if you want you can add them in "name in romanij [name in kanji] form" and its the same for the track titles as we do in hanako osts http://canta-per-me.net/discography/hanako-to-anne-ost/

But as for the release's titles I would prefer if it was included as a note below the credits because if its put in the "title" field it takes too much space.

Could we have a chart made up of YK instrumentals and their corresponding vocal versions / alternate vocal versions?

E.G.

Sagitta luminis - Hikari Furu

The COURTESY WALTZ - Yami no Uta
Credens justitiam - Mirai
let the stars fall down - Manten
snow is falling - snow falling

- problem is that when you mess with this, other tracks that have only part of the melody of each song also come to mind
for example:
"in the garden of sinners" - seventh heaven + snow falling
melody - every time you kissed me
and there are many songs like that Yuki's works, aparently almost evey knk movie has an example (where a track of the ost adopts the melody of the theme song)

- what about songs that just happen to be similar but are not related ? like blessing - every time you kissed me - Kagayaku

- what about arrangements that happened later on ? eg Luminos Sword - Its instrumental (ep 19 bgm 2)
