if... IF.... im lucky enough to win an autograph signing (for afa), i wanna tell her 'i read your part in kalafina record. here's a glomp from me to you!'
I won the autograph signing during AFAMY and I got the chance to talk to them...except that when I was there before them, I was so frozenbytheirbeautyshockedomgthisisreallyhappening that all the words I wanted to say flew out of my head~

Like I said before I have read parts of the interview before elsewhere so I knew about her hardships and especially her almost quitting, and while I wasn't going to bring that up but I at least wanted to tell her that I thought she was great but...but... :rain: :rain: :rain:

If I get the chance again...then for sure!

That's the right attitude! :goodjob: Don't give up alarictay! I believe that everything in life is balanced, so even if you suffer now, you will surely be rewarded later on! :XD:

i get you. i won their autograph for last year's afa and i just.. blanked out in front of them. I COULDNT EVEN MANAGED OUT A KONNICHIWA. orz

its like, in one of their kawaiigirljapan interviews (i think) keiko mentioned wakana used to be really nervous before lives. but i never realized it was to the extent where wakana nearly wanted to quit. <3 wakana. and everyone too.

im still curious over how hikaru eats. to be able to see 'munch munch' around.. hmmm..

so cute <3

OTL

I actually did manage to say some things...I enjoyed the live and thought it was great...I said this to Hikaru directly because the other two were signing my CD, but my voice gets really, really small when I'm nervous so I suspect she didn't actually catch what I said although she smiled and nodded.

I actually found this very easy to visualize. In fact, I like how Wakana describes people cause to me she makes it very easy understand where she's coming from. From Keiko's "You're very prosperous today" to Hikaru's calmness to the point of healing, and then Kajiura's strictness...I just love how she describes them all. :shy:

Just finally read this. Yes, I am a little slow. heh But it was so moving! Wakana is amazing and not just because she is one of Yuki's singers, but because she had the strength to keep going after getting rejected! It has helped me to try and be a stronger person realizing my career as well (as I am trying to find a job right now). Learning that her and Keiko were not friends at first sight was interesting too, and the part about Kajiura as well. There are still so many things I don't know about her, and Wakana said that too. lol Thanks so much for sharing this! :dote: I am also curious of the others since I can't read Japanese yet have the Record.

Wakana will be my new role-model in life now :sohappy:
Yes, your time will surely come as long as you keep your dreams alive! All the best, alarictay! :cheer:

Aww Wakana's nickname for Yuuka is so cute…"Yuu-chan" :shy: :shy:
I find all of Kajiura's "daughters" adorable this way. :dote:

I'm not very sure about Yuriko but all of the other utahimes call each other by nicknames like this e.g. Yuuka calls Wakana "Waa-chan", Keiko "Kee-chan", Hikaru "Hii-chan" and Kaori "Kao-chan". She calls Yuriko "Kaida-san" or "Kaida-oneesama" (She established the "貝田お姉さま、大っ好きっす隊/We Love Kaida-oneesama Squad" and appointed herself as its commanding officer. So cute lol). The others call Yuriko "Yuri-nee". They do seem like a really close knit family like this. :shy:

I think Wakana's my favourite singer not just because I love her voice but also her personality. She's been through a lot, to the point of almost giving up, yet she can still smile and laugh so much, and bring laughter to others as well. What a great person.
THIS exactly. :touched:

I can't believe Kaori was a model in high school. Anyway, she has the looks.

My heart really goes out to Wakana. I never knew one who possessed such beautiful and powerful soprano voice had such a tough life in school. Quitting school could have never been possible for me because I'm in Malaysia. In Japan and USA, quitting school to seek one's destiny may bring success to one but in Malaysia, it's just hard to do so. Anyway, I finished school and still waiting for my letter to university.

I always wanted to sing but no one supported me. Not one. But I'm glad Wakana had many people who contributed to her success - Yuuka, Keiko, Yuki-san, Hikaru, her mother (former music teacher) and her friends.

Thank you for posting Wakana's individual interview.

One family *WWWWW*

Thanks for sharing this...I really enjoyed reading it.

It's wonderful to read a bit about them, spoken in their own words. Sure, I love the way that the three girls sound as a group from a musical POV, but articles like this one help me remember that they're individuals with their own hopes, fears and so on. It's nice to learn a bit about their personalities...not as idol singers, but just as ordinary people.

I really feel for poor Wakana when she gets nervous before live shows and when she wanted to quit...the pressure she and the other two are under must be enormous. Bless her. :dote:

Oh wow.. never thought she had such difficult times. My respect to her just increased by a lot after reading this. Don't ever think to give up again wakana! You have our support.

I don't know how the system works over in Japan, but I'm pretty sure it's still incredibly difficult to quit school (especially half-way through high school) to go into something as risky as the music industry...Wakana made a big sacrifice to follow her dreams. Just think, if something should happen and she was no longer able to sing again, she doesn't have many career choices to fall back on, since she didn't go to uni either. It says a lot about her courage and persistence in pursuing such a path... :touched:

And...it seems only Wakana's interview has been translated and posted... :confu: Can't find the other two anywhere :spotlight:
