The US Alicization complete box only had the first Japanese soundtrack CD (wo chara songs).

Chances are the same happens on the US release of WoU.

I'm obsessed at the 3rd track after kirito's switch omg....It's soo generic Kajiura but it's so good to hear it paired with the action scene....

And if anyone noticed, they hired Sound Effects guy: https://myanimelist.net/people/16053/ so we might get less sfx c/o Kajiura(hoping). They knew the Sound Director is incompetent lol. Anyway you can hear crispy and "authentic" sound effects compared when they didn't hire one (look at what Iwanami had done to pripri and his work in Fate/Apo).

I think the sound effects are related to things like monster cries, objects touching or movings, rocks falling, footsteps, swords classing etc and arent related to the ambience music that Kajiura is lazy to produce properly. Just look at how the Kioku no Mori live intro is like to see how an ambience music could be like without sound effects https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7s6SZQ9SRQ they use the instruments to make the creepy sounds.

About the new musics, they re passable but nothing impressive so far.

True, george. But I remember watching some episodes before that whenever those sound effects SHOULD BE in that scene, there's like no noises or some shit and he sometimes spam those sfx Kajiura cause he's like that lol. Anyway now you said that, why they just hire this Sound Effect guy recently(+in Alicization too) and not in her previous works before then???

From melody of strings during the vocal part of that track, it sounds like an extension/adaptation of Luminous Sword.

The first Remi's track reminds me of Let the Stars Fall Down (In term of melody, not the atmosphere. Compared to Swordland theme, it's more emotional and filled with fear. Sound like a good depiction of a common gamer in that life-threatening situation, while the theme in the original series on those scenes sound more heroic&they're like songs from 3rd person's POV. (I blame the heroic contribution on Kirito-kun =____=".) It seems that songs for the anime from Asuna's POV would be promising... I hope that it won't end up like Ordinal Scale's.

So basically Ordinal Scale style soundtrack, with those 0:xx short tracks that crossfade from the very beginning to the next track because you have allowed it in your music player...........................

I guess it's no real surprise if it's been conceived as a movie from the start.

Shitty fact: Ordinal Scale is the last Kajiura CD that I could still buy and I refuse to do so. Sucks to not support a standalone SAO release since I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Alicization Music Collection but Ordinal Scale is just literal nothing. :/ Maybe when it's at some 2000yen when I'm making another order... but I don't think I've ever seen it go under 3000.

I'm afraid that it may be the only remaining thing she was referring to on her "hurricane recording" tweet months ago.
Let it be a 4-hours long soundtrack but hahaha no chance.
After the great Alicization, if it ends up like Ordinal Scale, I'd just.... not understand.....
