^ Oh, I love those parts too :shy: but she doesn't get the chance very much in Kalafina...

Plus I'm not crazy about her verses in Kimi ga hikari ni kaeteiku :spotlight:

You don't like her Houseki? I think she sounds great! And Koichi-san's solo is a thousand times better than Nishikawa's was in the original. But that doesn't even count, does it? :XD:

+1 to ninetales hahaha. I love Keiko's Houseki but in the live version from live vol.4 part 2.
And for Rekishi Hiwa Historia OST 2, I love the songs, I only hear some of them from youtube, uploaded by Kowz *because the username was FJKowz haha*. I haven't listened to RHH ost 1 so, I love this OST.. :shy:
Symphonia is pure love for me. It's better than storia where Hikaru's nasal voice spread all over the song. My favourite part is the part after "Ima akarui ongaku..."

^ Same for me on the OST. I've only heard it thanks to Kowz :uh..:

I haven't heard Houseki from Live Vol. 4...it's on Youtube so I'm going to watch it now :ohoho:

Oh, yes, I remember it now. This is the one where Koichi-san decided to imitate Nishikawa's solo...Keiko's vocals are a little bit better, but I don't like his solo as much as the other one :rain:

Hum, I don't think I agree about Keiko singing the beginning in a gentle manner. The examples that george gave I agree (especially Kimi ga...), but in symphonia, I think it's...stronger than those ones (I'm not complaining, btw. I love Keiko in the beginning of the song).

lol for once I actually agree with what KP-X said (hey pal) :XD: though I don't love Keiko's voice there, I know she can sound even more gentler. Kaze no machi e and Nohara are both good example of Keiko sounding very gentle :tea:

what I love from symphonia is how grand it turns out...

^hehe, there's always a first time :ohoho: Now that you mention it, Kimi ga...is gentle but Kaze no Machi he is even gentler. I also agree about how Symphonia is grand as the song evolves (that's why my favorite part is the penult chorus, for me that it is THE grande part of the whole song). I wonder how the full version will turn out to be. More Hikaru, maybe?

^ I assume so (more Hikaru)... hearing how Wakana is definitely used to build the grand harmony on the chorus, I guess she won't have part on verse? :ayashii:

^ There was a noticeable lack of Hikaru singing lead, now that I think about it. I think there'll be another set of verses before the key change. And personally, I'm hoping for Kajiurago in the full version :shy:

agreed with keiko sounding gentle on kaze no machi he and nohara! coincidentally, those are two of my favorite songs that were sung by her :sohappy: i prefer keiko's vol. 4 part 2 rendition of houseki to the original, but i don't love the song that much anyway so nothing can be done about that :XD:

the highlights of symphonia for me are still wakana's parts- she sounds so majestic and lovely  i can't get over how badly keiko pronounced "symphonia of time" though... i heard "symphonia oka" because the "t" was so soft it was basically nonexistent :uh..:

And Koichi-san's solo is a thousand times better than Nishikawa's was in the original.

I think I could sign below this. :ayashii:
The original solo contained too much pure guitar noise. :uh..:

i heard "symphonia oka" because the "t" was so soft it was basically nonexistent

I heard "t" clearly, but the rest sunk in the music. Symphoooniaaa oootaaaaaaaaa~ /*is whacked* :desksweat: :XD:

In the lyrics subforum, I tried to transcribe Symphonia's lyrics before those who know Japanese got the booklet and transcribe them and I wrote at first: "Symphonia oka" :XD: ninetales even pointed out my mistake. Was I surprised when I read the booklet!

This OST is really beautiful~ :dote:
Kaori kajiurago is :nosebleed: I'm so glad she made it right :dote:

Rekishi Hiwa Historia is one of the soundtrack that I love so much even without watching the show! Congrats Yuki~~~~ :sohappy:

Made me wince when I first heard it, actually :uh..:

I thought that Koichi-san put a lot more emotion into his solo :shy:

Yeah, that's pretty much what I heard too.

It took me forever to hear the 'z' in 'zutto', too. I kept hearing 'futto' until I listened really hard :ohoho:

kinda late, i know but i must say symphonia is the worst Kalafina song ever, to say it's boring does not justice at all, it's too much cancer...

the 2nd ost is just like the first one, boring but with some highlights. I'll give it a try, it could grow on me.

^ think you are overextraggerating, I see not much arrangement difference between symphonia and, lets say, seventh heaven, so I dont get why you dont like it since they dont sing it worse (except they dont have much melodies this time), may you dont like the melody :confu:

symphonia's okay (for me anyway, i see that majority of the population doesn't like it) :ayashii:

still haven't absorbed much of the new songs :uh..:

I tend to think Seventh Heaven (the song) is similar to Snow Falling in style...and I find both quite boring... :uh..:

Symphonia is alright, I liked the instrumentation.

^
I thought Seventh Heaven is more like 'epic' style songs (had so much build up towards the end) while Snow Falling is the opposite..tho they both have slow tempo (exceptionally slow for Snow Falling) they kinda feel different.

As for Symphonia, I can relate the style to I reach for the Sun, ballad-ish but fast and lots of beats (notice the heavy use of bass drums). I personally like them both.
