Sorry, but I just don't like her voice

I'm afraid I have to agree, but only up to a point. I think she sounds decent in the lives (aside from Ring Your Song for some reason), and I like Once Upon A Time There Was You And Me, as well as Siren Song.

But that's pretty much it. Mysterious is bearable, but I have to say I really don't like Jubilee :uh..:

I have been "listening" to symphonia for 3 months so now I like it. Though the first ED is better :P

Same here. When i first listened to it i thought it was really boring, but now i like it.

It's still boring, Elvis.

But it's still beautiful, Grunty.

RHH 1 is better for me... although RHH 2 is more diverse in instrumentation, but honestly, all the vocal songs except Kaori's are flat, boring, and totally random.

In Kaori's case, her voice are new and fresh, but the melody is still a "duh".

I haven't really into other instrument-tracks, but ... "break the door" is definitely my fave in this one. Not new, or unique, but nice.

KEIKO!!!! SYMPHONIA!!! :touched: :orz:

A more rousing, triumphant theme has never been written for Kalafina. :sohappy:

@Grunty: lol, that's pretty much the question many people ask when first exposed to classical music. :XD:
But seriously speaking, in Symphonia's case it's no paradox. The melody is beautiful, so is the arrangement, so are the vocals. On the other hand, it's the mainstream Kalafina style, and those bored of hearing it again and again will naturally find the song boring. Need I explain more? :tea:

George, could you please correct the part you credit me in Symphonia's lyrics? I am a little girl, not a boy :shy:

I guess my username fools almost everyone. Or maybe it is my behaviour? :XD:
I'm 19, but everyone says I have the appearance of a 15-year old girl :XD:

Maybe its your behaviour, your posts sound kinda manly :XD: , Oh then we have only 1 year (or some months) difference, I was born Oct 1990. :sohappy:

KP-X&george's age revealing made me a bit :omg: ... Seriously, I've thought that you guys are even older than me, but...both of you are even younger than my younger sister....feel so old here..Orz..

Thanks for the DL link...have another thing to celebrate for the end of this semester...:tea: (besides the next episode of Madoka..lol.) Well...I won't listen to the ost until I finish my exam... :dote: .

Final impressions of Symphonia:

Keiko almost made me cry at the beginning. To finally hear her singing something gentle and beautiful, something totally unlike Yami no Uta or Tetote, is wonderful. She sounds gorgeous.

It is a tad strange how Keiko sings the first line of the second verse and then Hikaru comes in. I would've expected Hikaru to take over for the entire second verse. But more of Keiko is welcome anyway!

The 'higashi no kaze ni' verse is one of my favorites, like I thought it would be :plot:

When they switch keys at 'akarui', it's just amazing. And it's a key change I never expected! The echoes of Adore just serve to make it more epic in my opinion, changing the mood from gentle to triumphant.

Hikaru's 'kikasete' at the end is fine, but the melody of 'anata no shirabe' I don't really like. It's a little flat for some reason - not off-key, but just bland-sounding.

Otherwise, I love the entire song. I just don't see how it can be boring when there's so much emotion in it :confu:

I wonder if there'll be Kajiurago in the full version? :ayashii:

I tried playing it on the piano after I listened to it about 70 times :XD: but my arrangement didn't sound right so I have to redo it. I might make it my next cover...

She does sing like that in other songs too: Kimi ga hikari ni kaete yuku (1,2 verse), seventh heaven, I have a dream (the verse right after the bridge)

Un-Kalafina-wise she does in Kaze no Machi e, nohara, and in the FJ ver of Houseki (but I dont like that one :XD: )

^ Oh, I love those parts too :shy: but she doesn't get the chance very much in Kalafina...

Plus I'm not crazy about her verses in Kimi ga hikari ni kaeteiku :spotlight:

You don't like her Houseki? I think she sounds great! And Koichi-san's solo is a thousand times better than Nishikawa's was in the original. But that doesn't even count, does it? :XD:

Hum, I don't think I agree about Keiko singing the beginning in a gentle manner. The examples that george gave I agree (especially Kimi ga...), but in symphonia, I think it's...stronger than those ones (I'm not complaining, btw. I love Keiko in the beginning of the song).
My favorite part of the song is the penult chorus. I like how it doesn't have any eletronic beats in this part.

And contrary to most people, for me, Keiko's part in Kimi ga... is one of my favorite parts by her in any song (maybe it's my favorite one? Good duel with Seventh Heaven)
