Maybe because OPs usually feature more action? :XD:
Although Sora no Woto subverted that - its OP rather resembles an ending sequence.
 
Kalafina's tie-up has always been ending theme, except Hikari no Senritsu :XD:
 
Well, Storia was an opening theme. Although as far as I understand, Kalafina's version didn't actually sound in the show itself.
 
I generally prefer endings over openings, so I have no problems with it being an ending at all. I just wish it will be a good song.

+1 I am excited it has been confirmed. And I was thinking it would be something like storia too. *waiting for preview patiently* :dote:
 
endings tend not to get much attention from me becuase i see the show is over so i just close it (or osmetimes skip to the preview)... and also im always angry when the ending song starts because i want to watch MORE... i feel like im much more likely to enjoy/watch an OP
 
Lol kera's opinion feels so right, though for me that would depend on how much I like the theme songs since I skipped both OP and ED if I don't like them.
 
Well, to be honest I generally skip both OP and ED, even if I do like them. For example, I just finished watching Pandora Hearts and, even though I love Parallel Hearts, I skipped it most of the time :XD: But just like I said, I tend to like endings better.
Anyway, I can't wait to hear the song. :shy:

I knew we'd get a Kalafina single from this... the timing was too perfect.

I hope it's something light and upbeat like storia or HnS... since that's the only type of Kalafina song I can see fitting with this anime (and because I love both songs sfm). :XD:

The title gives me the impression it will be though. :dote:
