^ I probably shouldn't say anything since I'm not watching Madoka Magica...but what about the ending of Lost? The American TV show where at the end Jack wakes up and realizes that the past seven seasons were a dream and he's the only survivor of the plane crash?
Thus freeing the producers from any obligation to explain the strange events that took place over the course of the whole series?

There were like 5 new BGMs. Pretty grand Kasahara track for Walpurgis Night in Ep11, rather big (and boring) Madoka is Jesus BGM for Ep12. The rest was small, including one piano variation of another BGM.
Of course they played the Eri track in both episodes... Thanks SHAFT/Kajiura.

OK, Did anyone really not expect Madoka to be god-like in the end? Because that was said from the start. So, COME ON!
Obviously Cubey survived, Aniplex hates their audience.
Homura in the end? Seriously badass!
Overall, not the ending I expected, but I got really surprised at Madoka's wish. And I really wanted to see more of her fighting.
After the subs come I can decide if I really liked the ending or not.

It was like the manga was for 14 year old girls and the anime was for 7 year old girls.

I finished it hoping right until the end that Shinbo would finally have a nice serious show again - unfortunately it peaked in Ep3 and never got back the momentum. What I got after that was boring emo little girls (none of which I cared about) and an ending which was downright SHITE.
I finished it hoping Kajiura would have something good in store in later episodes - unfortunately ~90% of the music was used in the first 3 episodes already and became repetitive to the limits in future episodes. I did enjoy Kasahara's Walpurgis Night though so this was not a total loss.
To answer your question: No - the soundtrack, as it was presented in the show, was not worth it. Animu rating: 4/10.

ANNNND! After watching the two episodes with subs all I can say is:
Sequel!!! 
And still pretty touching the scene where Homura hugs Madoka somewhere in the universe and starts crying.

Madoka best anime in the year for sure.
Although i'd prefer a bad ending... But this as a good ending was good enough xD
The OST was amazing too, but it really could have more songs.
