I'm getting the feeling that I'm the only one who doesn't mind that Madoka's been delayed at least two weeks To me, this extra waiting means SHAFT has the chance to fix up whatever they need and (hopefully) make the most of the remaining episodes for us viewers. I dunno.. I really like this show, but I see it as whatever major events are happening in Japan come first. And if we have to wait a bit for the people in the entertainment industry to get back on their feet, that's fine with me.
"Backblast area clear! Engage front!" *tap shoulder*
I see that they've even made Mami a communist leader...

Yeah, since it's basically End of Eva in an introspective way. I admit people won't like it since they like things to be explained "tintin por tintin", but since I like subtle explanations better, I see no problem with it. But there's the fact that I was way prepared for it as well.
They're still doing it wrong, though. LAUNCH KYUUBEY FIRST!

It's two-fold. On one hand, there's somewhat selfish disappointment and eager wait (and Madoka happens to be one of the shows where you really look forward to the next episode). On the other hand, there's common sense. After a 9.0 earthquake in the country, it's to the Japanese animators' immence credit that the production is continuing at all. Delays were pretty expectable. Many people rage on because they still suspect the broadcast to be postponed for content-related reasons... mostly those who have not heard how Shaft operates and find it hard to believe that a series can be in production two episodes from the broadcast end.
Btw, I think I read some comments where some staffers mentioned "Walpurgisnacht being difficult to animate". Meaning we might get it at ep 11 already. That and possibly Madoka finally confronting Homura about her goals and intentions. That will surely be a trial for Homerun-chan.
Although one might say there were cases when her policy was still questionable. During their last conversation with Sayaka, for instance -
if the situation was so grim and dire, convincing the one girl you've NEVER been able to convince... why not just knock her out, take her Soul Gem and cleanse it forcefully? And THEN let her rant about distrust and lies for as along as she cares. At least, it could have bought some time and feature less risks of Kyoko going down. On the other hand, maybe Homura is unwilling to hurt Sayaka aside from the incident in ep 5 (where the situation had Madoka on the verge of making a contract and thus needed drastic measures) - she may still remember her as one of her friends and even feel some guilt for dispatching Octavia in timeline 3 (remember how Sayaka feared lest she should get caught up in one of Homura's explosions? Oh, the cruel irony ). I don't know if she would really go forward with her threat to kill Sayaka - maybe she just tried to scare her into cooperation, when all else failed.

Doubtful. Shaft may be having troubles with production schedules, but Gainax was worse off back then - they simply ran out of budget (and thus had to compile two episodes from sheer storyboards). Which is an extremely unlikely scenario here.
I went off Soul Eater tracks somewhere at ep 29 and still can't find the time to finish it, even though I love that series. But this scenario is also unlikable - the Soul Eater issues were pretty much the same as with FMA - Bones were forced to wrap up some ending instead of what the manga hadn't provided yet by that point. Madoka Magica here is an ORIGINAL series.
EDIT: from Puella Wiki Main Page
Madoka Magica is scheduled to be rebroadcast on AT-X beginning with Episode 1 on April 2nd (the timeslot is 9:30 AM JST on Saturdays). According to schedule, Episode 11 should be aired there on June 11th, and Episode 12 on June 18th.
EDIT3: OK, the latest update quotes Gigazine, although they warn it's not the most reliable of resourses. But the article has it that MBS is planning to air episode 11 on March 31, as predicted.
The mention of NicoNico is far less clear since the Puella Wiki folks didn't comment on it and the confusing GoogleTranslate is confusing.
In Nico Nico Douga "Madoka ☆ Magika Maho Shojo" according to the anime screening venue, the next delivery date is March 24 at 3:00 as scheduled (at the 26th March 23) has become the.
Nikoniko delivery channels will be out is not currently suspended, is also available from that site have already been delivered from the schedule Wednesday at 27, delivering the latest talk about it ahead of all stations I will be expected to.
It almost looks like NicoNico is going to air the episode now, a full week ahead of the TV broadcast... Which I'll have to see to believe.
Sigh, it's the official site that is supposed to be keeping the viewrs informed, but instead we get bits of info from wherever else.
"Btw, I think I read some comments where some staffers mentioned "Walpurgisnacht being difficult to animate". Meaning we might get it at ep 11 already. That and possibly Madoka finally confronting Homura about her goals and intentions. That will surely be a trial for Homerun-chan. "
Yeah, it sounded like in the next episode's preview Homura's wish and everything else is finally revealed to Madoka. I'm really looking forward to Madoka's reaction, I imagine she'll be pissed that Homura was okay with everyone else dying at her expense.
Well, if she actually manages to collect her memories
from all the timelines... Remember her dream as well as the brief dawning in ep 8. Some speculated that Kyuubey hypnotisedher into leaving then, but I don't buy it (if Kyuubey could/was allowed to use hypnosis, the world would be screwed already ), so my guess is that Madoka might have felt a vague reminiscence of TL3 and the disaster which befell Sayaka back then. Nobody else has such memories, so that may be connected to Madoka's innate powers. So, if she remembers it all, she will see Homura's reasons clearly... and enter another heroic BSoD upon realising that she played an active part in obliging Homura with this fate... and once had to kill Mami with her own hands... and turned into a witch more than once...
No, scratch it, she's better off NOT remembering. Besides, I somehow doubt that the plot will develop like this - too much deus ex machina.
Good news guys i recently read Urobuchi Gen's twitter and he mentioned that
Madoka ep11 and 12 will be POSTPONED not canceled
(This is for all those anxious souls out there)
He said the earthquake was a good and bad thing
bad thing--> people died
Good thing--> Using this opportunity to improve MADOKA FINALE
EVERYONE KEEP THOSE SEAT BELTS TIGHT
Walpurgis Night (Walpurgisnacht) is a traditional spring festival on 30 April or 1 May in large parts of Central and Northern Europe. Its celebration is associated with dancing and with bonfires.
Besides, the hype is slowly rising in regards to NicoNico. To quote Puella Wiki,
The Nicovideo's Wednesday 27:00 live broadcast timeslot is currently listed as an unknown Madoka Magica broadcast, but it's unconfirmed whether it is episode 11 or not. A disclaimer reading "Due to the effects of recent earthquake in eastern Japan, broadcast may potentially get postponed depending on the situation. Please be forewarned." was added on the broadcast page instead. Twenty hours before the scheduled broadcast, Gen Urobuchi tweeted saying that the content of this broadcast is "unchanged" but the progress is unknown to him, too. See also: translation.
About 20 hours until Niconico live broadcast. At this time there's no change to the schedule, but I have not heard of any progress either. I believe they're fighting their ways until the last minute. We can do nothing but believe and wait. Since it's not something you're happier doubting.
Here's a hilarious collection of pics, mostly crossover ones. I especially liked Phoenix Wright and Saya cameos and I'm almost tempted to make this one my new avatar.
EDIT: According to Puella Wiki, the official site's got an update. Going by the info, I almost wish it didn't...
TV broadcasts of Madoka Magica on ALL channels are postponed until further notice. See also: Official website
Blu-ray/DVD vol.1 is scheduled to release on April 27th.
Honestly, I'm still pretty confused, since the only fresh newspost I see on the official site right now doesn't seem to mention anything about delays. Also, unless they plan to release two BD/DVD volumes in one day, let's say good-bye to the OST until the end of spring... Wait, looks like the announcement is at the top of the page (I obviously can't googletranslate it, though ). BD/DVD Vol 2's new release date is May 25. they should have released the OST separately, after all.
My only ray of hope is that Shaft may be just playing it safe until they actually send the complete episode to the stations. Also, this NicoNico broadcast, but who wants to bet on it now?
To conclude: being Meguca fan is suffering indeed.
On the other hand, the staff may be having a MUCH MUCH MUCH harder time than us right now. Best wishes to them, and come what may. Wait'n'hope is all we can do for now...
