I don't think the standard genre will die out. After all, even the success of Nanoha didn't seem to promote its action variety to the dominant status. And I read comments that actually blame Shaft for "making a messy and ill-needed perversion of magical girl concepts", so I belive shows like Shugo Chara are still, and will continue being on demand. :ayashii:
On the other hand, the popularity of the show can urge some to try and follow the trend. Even if in titles (I remember sweatdropping at the line Evangelion - Raxephon - Genesis of Aquarion, even though they are sufficiently independent classics in their own right :XD: ). And presumably, it was Evangelion's success that eventually inspired the authors of Bokurano to try and deconstruct the genre once again (btw, people here were wondering about chairs in ep 9 - it seems that they are a reference to Bokurano ED :ayashii: ). So maybe we'll get more magical girl shows that will try to do something original and atypical of the genre. Which is always welcomed. :sparkleguy:

Speaking of which, I'm trying to guess what we might get in OST 1. If we go by the first 6 eps, then roughly it's, erm...

- Mami's theme
- Homura's theme (also used in previews)
- main PMMM theme (but OF COURSE :psst: )
- "witch hunt" theme
- Kamijo's violin tune
- peaceful guitar theme (from Madoka's morning routine)
- quiet bell-driven theme (Homura/Madoka first talk etc.)
- light flute-driven theme (from Madoka's walk to school)
- "salon piano" theme :XD: (Madoka/Sayaka/Hitomi, ep 1)
- Getrude barrier theme
- Charlotte barrier theme
- Kirsten barrier theme
- ominous theme (first in ep 1 when Madoka saves Kyuubey, also heard in ep 4)
- another bell theme (going by the tune, it's supposedly a variation of Sayaka's theme... which we will probably not hear since it debuts in ep 7 :wai: )
- Kamijo-related cello track
well... I haven't checked eps 5-6 for clearer review (but AFAIR Kyoko/Sayaka fight used a separate theme, too), but the list sounds more than promising :nosebleed: and big enough for an ost... given that it will prove true, of course :XD:
still, I bet to see at least half of this list included. :sparkleguy:

EDIT: Kyuubey's lost the last bits of shame - now he's using MGLN to his benefit! :glower: :ohoho: :XD:

Interested in. I'm pretty negative with the first OST: owned to me, yep.
I'm also curious, english or japanese titles?
 
Dunno, but most of Yuki's anime OSTs have English titles. Only Erementar Gerad and the Mai franchise were an exeption (and even Erementar Gerad OST 1 has an English version of the tracklist).
 
According to the official site, episode 11 will be delayed, presumably until next week. So the show IS ending somewhere around Walpurgis Night, after all. :omg: :ohoho:
many other shows have not been delayed, though... I wonder if episode 11 might contain some spectacular city-wrecking... this could pass for a plausible reason. Rumours have it that the last volume of CLAMP's X manga was left unreleased due to similar set of circumstances and content. :ayashii:

The most puzzling is the last line. It gives the impression that NicoNico ep 10 will be streamed as usual, but Puella Wiki clearly states otherwise. :confu:

For the time being... something I fantasized about a while ago, now coming true. Not quite an onion, but I vote with my four limbs for including it in the emoticon set:

Well, that's plausible, too. While Japan needs all the optimism it can get now, big mourning - official and unofficial - is more than due, what with the current deathtoll and the prospects of its increase. :cry:
Anyway, even the total broadcast cancellation wouldn't pose a real problem for the show itself. Shaft/Aniplex could just stream the remaining episodes online like they did with Bakemonogatari.

i don't believe that stuff about madoka being cancelled. rumors started way before the earthquake, despite the fact there were still weekly episodes being released. delays are understandable at this point, but i don't trust sankaku.

plus if it were cancelled, i would be pissed :XD:
