A little late since I'm on holiday... Apologies for some garbage wording and post structure, I'm on my phone.
I listened to the premiere and I didn't like it, but then later I got back to it and warmed up to it a little. The biggest reason I feel I didn't like it originally is that this is one of the 4 last original songs we're getting on this album and based on all the other tracks that we know, I already expected to not care for this album. Yet I still was silently hoping for a new FJ song to finally grab me by the balls and well, as expected from the teaser, this was not the one to do that. (Justice for fairy game, lul.)
So back to what I actually think of the track as of now... It's fine. A triumphant and confident "me" song. (At least that's what I got from it without knowing Japanese.)
It doesn't have very jarring transitions in the arrangement which I appreciate. Unlike some of you above, I did not feel it was THAT autopilotey - there is some consideration here and variety in color between parts.
Singing wise, again, to me Joelle is actually doing a lot of heavy lifting with her delivery to sell the verses. But I also get it that if someone doesn't like her voice, it will bring the song down even more. (Just like I expect some have no hope to like Aimer's song, lul.) I don't like two parts from Joelle - the first jump in the first prechorus sounds off but I'm not sure if it's her or the harmonies, or maybe both together (the same part in the second prechorus is perfectly fine); and then in the second verse when she sings "naka ni ite" (or something, 2:10 in the PV), the texture of her voice gets darker/deeper and it again feels off.
Kaori is a little weirder in that I feel she would rather belt in this register but they are keeping it softer so she sounds a bit unfomfortable. But it's fine. Hope she survives vol18 lives.
No real comments on the bridges and expanded backing vocals from Yuriko and Keiko - they're there, lul. Maybe I'll have more to say when I get home.
The PV itself is perfectly fine for what it is.
Tldr: had I not been familiar with Kajiura, would this make me research her? Probably not. Would I skip it when it comes on? No. It's probably the most easy to listen to song we got so far from this album.
