But they won't come here unless we get decent anime events.

How come JAM Project became so popular in Brazil that they toured there? (Remembering the clip where Hironobu Kageyama sang with Kalafina).

Things work differently here. For instance, they tend to bring these old-school anime singers that most of the time performed songs that are extremely famous in Brazil a lot, but other artists simply don't come here for the events (some have being performing here though, but most of the time they're j-rock artists and they don't perform in an anime event per se). To be more direct, there's no need to bring a group such as Kalafina to Brazil because a significant part of the public won't even know them and it's probably more expensive as well.

JAM Project itself is not that popular here - Kageyama is, because he sings Changeman, DBZ and Saint Seiya, which are classics around here. The other guys of the group are barely known (serach for Masami Okui's videos of Anime Friends 2008 to see she singing to a bunch of dead people). And, as KP-X said, here, if you got one thing that work$, you don't need to try another. That's why the same singers keep coming for the past ten years, because the events organizations don't want to take chances bringing "less known" artists (but that happens, once in a while).

Let's start saving for a trip to Japan, then :XD: :imdead:

It's like a dream come true for me.
That's a tick in my wishlist! :sohappy:
I hope everything goes well, was there any autograph or interview session when they were at Singapore for last year's AFA'11?

Autograph session: Yes, but siggies only for a lucky tiny lot (drawn from VIP ticket-holders), and on AFA posters only.

Interview: Yes, short one at Nico Nico Douga booth somewhere in the middle of the(ir concert) day.

Disclaimer: Those were what happened then; not sure 'bout 2012's actual schedules. Do stay tuned for official announcements. :plot:

I'll be in Thailand during that time but I doubt that I can go after spending one week in US&one week in Thailand... :uh..: (Well...I wonder what my family would say if I stay at home only one week and leave for Malaysia..and then back to Canada..Orz.) BTW, last year they also have Angela&May'n but this year there's only Kalafina for me.... :rain: .

Any form of photographing and recording isn't allowed when it comes to the guests appearances...but since this is Malaysia we're talking about... :psst:

Photographing and recording are permitted anywhere else though, like the public exhibition booths etc.
