is it upbeat or ballad ?

Gaaah! I hope we can hear it soon. Darn it!!! The episode isn't up on Hulu yet, but I will be stalking it all day, until I leave to do some errands and tonight, I hope it's up by then though!
 
first impression comments:

- what is this chorus ? Reminds me of the Kaori Nishina days when we couldnt tell what she was saying :XD:
- the guitar in the beginning fits but not the chorus.
- has alot better transitions that heavenly blue
- I like the change from Wakana to Hikaru in the first part of the song.
- I am liking the powerful end of the song

Looks like its a new trend of Yuki, started with heavenly blue, for songs to have 3 melodies instead of two.

The video is still not downloading whole for some reason

Well, I find it quite nice, even if maybe too similar to Heavenly Blue.

My thoughts: It's very pretty! More upbeat than I thought it was going to be, and more like heavenly blue than I thought too. Is the English at the end "fly away" or "find your way?" Can't tell. I think I love the verse more this time though. Yes, it does transition better though. EDIT: I think it's "find your way" at the end. Also can't wait to hear the other songs, as I am liking this a lot more than HB.

My first impressions are the same as for HB. Love the verse and the pre-chorus part but I find the refrain to be way too slow. Love the kajiurago intro!

^Yeah, that site usually is pretty slow. But glad it worked for you now.

Can someone upload it to dropbox or something? Mediafire does not work for me for some reason. Can't wait to watch it on the big screen tomorrow night. I may watch it today too. heh There is also a CM of the PV on facebook, but a friend had it, so not sure where she got it from. But I like the PV so far too. It reminds me of progressive a bit.
 
It's not bad. Definitely a step above heavenly blue though not nearly as good as magia. I love the opening chant, remi sounds lovely as always, and I especially love how powerful the ending is. I don't know, it's decent but it still seems to be following the mold set by to the beginning.

I'm sorry. Heavenly blue had a fierce Hikaru at the very least.

I'm sorry... but WHAT THE...?

I was honestly very happy with the opening (Fion?) and the verse - they honestly sounded very cool, but then the pre-chorus came and my DANGER WILL ROBINSON DANGER flags went off... then came the flippin refrain... WHAT THE HECK, KAJIURA? I'm sorry, this is another heavenly blue, and I mean exactly another heavenly blue.
 
Hmmm I have mixed feelings so far! Really liked the intro and the verses, but the chorus felt a bit disjointed and repetitive. Still I'll wait to hear the full version and the other two to make a decision :ayashii:

Fate Stay Night and gorgeous ufotable animation on the other hand has been a DELIGHT, probably my anime of the year! Type-Moon and ufotable really need to get married :w00t:

But aside from the digression the hi-light was the REALLY NICE guitar riff at the start :dote:

I really hope the other two songs deliver. So far, kalafina has not been having a good year.
 
The TV edit of the tune popped up on Tumblr this afternoon...as for the episode itself, I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to watch it since CR doesn't work too well for me for some reason (here's a new word for y'all: CRUNCHYRAEG).

It's definitely a more enjoyable song than Heavenly Blue or To the Beginning, but that's not difficult since those were the two of my least favourite singles of theirs! :hide: Maybe there's more interesting musical stuff going on in the full version, but the TV size still has this 'generic TV show opening theme' vibe to it. It's a darker TtB in that sense.

tl;dr version: ehh, it's not bad. I'm not too good with first impressions I guess.
