When the sample for Magia first came out, I seriously thought it was KEIKO who sang "toki wo koete" and "kowasu darou". It wasn't until the CM where I realised it was actually HIKARU. I was doubtful at first.... But like Super Sheba said, after a few more listens with headphones, it was disclosed to me that it was in truth HIKARU who sang those lines. :/

I prefer the Original Magia although Magia-Q has its own uniqueness but in my opinion this song suits better with darker and heavier arrangements, Magia-Q did not build up enough tense for me :tea:

OOT, but I've got a feeling that Kalafina's next album will consist of "japanese version" of Kajiura's BGM...

Mirai is growing a bit for me, but for the kajiuran part only. Are those kajiuran from credens justitiam as well? I know I'm late, but I haven't listened to Madomagi BGM at all.

I watched the complete special last night and I don't know if it's been brought up before, but the girls mentioned how the PV for Hikari furu was shot in just one take, so they had to perform it as if they were in a live. I didn't think the PV was that bad, and I love how expressive they are in it, I think it's interesting to know that they filmed the whole thing in one go to make it more real (although the editing could've been better since the panning gets real weird towards the end when there's only a close up of Keiko for like a minute :ohoho: )

^ yeah, I also noticed that weird slow zoom-in-zoom-out of Keiko at the end...like the cameraman was like 'ooh, I think I see something in Keiko's hair *zooms*, oh wait no, it's just a mote of dust' :ohoho:

Considering how the PV was shot, then, I guess it's okaaay, but I just couldn't help noticing how still Hikaru was standing! :omg: Especially at the beginning, with her hands straight down by her sides and that serious expression on her face...it was kind of scary - almost. It was weird seeing Wakana and Keiko being more expressive when usually Hikaru is the one that catches my eye with the intense angst-emoting. :XD:

To be honest, though, this PV isn't something I'd watch again very much, since this time actually nothing happens except for the door opening, and there aren't enough nice close-up shots of the girls' faces for me...

The gauntlet is thrown down for anyone who can write a plotline to this newest PV, though... :plot: :gimmeh:

EDIT: Oh yeah, and not that it really matters anymore but the snippet of the PV is on the official site now, too~

Ah, that explains a lot. Although I'm not complaining about how the pv is centred at Keiko since around 1:00 (where Keiko started singing), I found that the cameramen and the director really have a weird, if not bad taste. It's kinda stupid to see how the cameraman zoom-outed when Keiko sings "mabushii asa", and started zooming when she finished singing that line, just to zooming out again :uh..:

I don't know whether I have to love or to hate the make-up artist for making Keiko's eyes and nose like that.

^ What was wrong with her eyes and nose? :XD:

I feel like poor Hikaru was either ignored for half the PV, looked like she was standing isolated from the other two (due to weird camera angle/perspective), or looked like a really creepy ghost girl the way she was standing so still with her hands by her sides for a lot of it...

^
The make-up artist made Keiko's nose looks bigger and 'shape' her eyes (with the eyeliner) downward that obviously doesn't fit Keiko's eyes at all. In result, Keiko doesn't look like Japanese at all when you look at her closely on the part where the camera's zooming her face only. Well, she's still beautiful no matter what, for me. I love and don't love her looks at the same time, lol.

Where can I watch the PV? None of the links posted here work for me. I even downloaded it from jpopsuki but no matter in what player I play the file, it only plays the first second then ends.

@Kagaribi : I don't really like Keiko's legato in Magia's bridge as well, but it seems that she's indeed singing it that way since the beginning, but the studio editing in their recording version smoothed that part a bit. I can still some of it in "otogibanashi". But I think it's somewhat fiercer and fits the song mood. Aside of that, I mostly disagree with your previous opinion. Sorry.
Oh..I mean that "otogibanashi" part, not the legato. (I prefer Keiko's legato in Magia live to the filtered one in the recording.) Well...I know many one like when Keiko sings in that style...but it sounds weaker and less fierce for me. (That's why I wonder that is it only me who don't like it..lol.)

Ah, so we see it in two different perspective, :XD: I personally think the only performance where all the 3 girls performed Magia awesomely is their first Magia live, the one from LisAni 2010 (the one which video released before the single came out).. After that, Magia never sound really good for me. The worst one is in their Animax Musix 2011 ._. *not to mention I'm not that fond with Sakurada's piano improvisation*

I thought I was the only one who doesn't like it that much.

I'm only going on my experience at the time since video was never released, but Kalafina's performance of Magia and Sprinter at Animelo Summer Live 2011 sounded good to me.

Well let's take a step back and be reminded of why Kalafina was created in the first place xD IMO they were founded back in KnK to sing ending themes that were virtually covers of the original BGM that was played as opening themes or recurrent themes within each movie. The most obvious one is seventh heaven.
