I don't know if it's just me, but I can't really tell the difference between the LE and RE covers . . .
Besides one of them looking, er, shorter than the other? ^^; //fails
 
There's no difference ^^ and yes one is for some reason shorter, probably because LE will be in a package and not just a CD.

I just had a crazy speculation--perhaps they didn't have photo shoots 'cause they weren't sure how to divide the pics? Usually their singles have 3 Kalafina editions + possible anime edition, with Wakana on the LE, Keiko on the RE, and Hikaru on the BD. But since Alleluia is only two editions... how do they divide the pics? :omg: So SME gave up and just prayed the fans will take it as "call back to Oblivious."

Yes, I know earlier singles (Lacrimosa, Storia. ect.) had only two versions...

Well, I don't exactly dislike the covers--it was just a thought that struck me, probably no truth to it. It could just be a callback to Oblivious. I'd prefer pics of the girls, but I think I'll be happy with the KnK stuff that comes with the limited edition. (I love, love KnK artwork).

Hey, maybe it'll come with a booklet that's half KnK, half Kalafina, like Seventh Heaven limited edition. Then everyone could be happy!
 
So you mean Areruia is only meant to keep us busy until the Madoka single? Cause thats what Re/oblivious was. ;)

Well, it's not like they could do a call-back to actual Oblivious, unless they kick Hikaru off on a brief vacation. :ohoho: Hope that joke wasn't too much... I definitely don't want Hikaru out of the song.

And no, it's not just "meant to keep us busy until the Madoka single." It's the final KnK film, it should be a big deal. Now, if it had been a Progressive-style no tie-in single...
 
^ I don't know, maybe. I got the feeling like KnK and Alleluia is being shortchanged due to Madoka. (I love Madoka, but well, yeah). Why didn't Sony just do a double A single and watch that single soar to the top of the chart because of the combined efforts of the KnK + Mado + Kala fans? It would have worked perfectly!

I won't be able to get over it, so sorry if I seem like I'm ranting :bow:

And lol, Coral. Packing Hikaru out (on a holiday or not, on any single or not) would upset quite a lot of fans. Unless this single is FJ's and Sony and Kajiura-san made a royal mistake by any chance, SMEJ won't. :ayashii:

So Sony can earn more, of course! There's probably quite a number of people buying both singles and they'd both probably chart well (not like it means much now anyway). Besides, combining them will mean we get less songs overall. I don't mind the lack of photoshoots or PVs. They all look pretty much the same anyway. :x All that matters is that the songs are (hopefully) not getting the shorter end of the stick.

I really hope we'll get some beautiful lyrics that goes well with the movies. I feel that Kajiura's lyrics for recent tie up songs aren't as good as her older songs though. More seventh heaven, less TTB please.
 
^ Dont forget that TTB was sort of fast made, since she had made an other song for FZ (probably destination unknown consolation) and the director didnt liked it because he wanted the song to be happy + hope giving. I personally like manten and hikaru furu's lyrics very much.
 
Destination Unknown was released way before the second season started. Besides, Kajiura said it was a dark song.
