Re: Re:

Ok..after listening to both songs..., I skip this single...=____=... Moonfesta sounds so catchy and I like Yane no Mukou ni's melody, but both songs are quite forgettable to me... :uh..: .

Moonfesta sounds so much Arabian-like, like many songs in Red Moon but in the bright&lively tone, not dark&mysterious like those.. :ayashii: . Personally, I love the melody, esp. the bridge, but it sounds a bit too repetitive and I'm not fond of this kind of music from Kalafina... :uh..: (So it's about my personal taste... :spotlight: )

For Yane no Mukou ni, I love its melody, but don't like the instrumental style... :desksweat: .

But for a song like this, Hikaru's voice is just a big no. I totally love Wakana's voice here.

I actually preferred Hikaru's voice, whereas Wakana's "niiiii" hurt my ears both times...I think she sounds much better in Moonfesta :imdead:
I don't like Hikaru's voice here, but I won't say no for Hikaru in this kind of song. She did really good in neverending, sandpiper, kugatsu, manten, etc. but the style that she used in this song just does not match with the song.. I think I prefer Wakana's voice for this song...

Wakana's niiii at the end hurt my ear as well.... ..(Sorry Wachan...) and it seems that I'm the only one who don't enjoy with Keiko's solo. I feel that her part is powerful and plain (since it has no chorus), so it sounds a bit out of place for me... :rain: .

I love the strings in Yane no Mukou ni, esp Wakana and Keiko's parts in the chorus. (minus Hikaru)
This song sounds so nostalgic to me.

Nice song! :shy: It didn't blow me away, per se, but it's a wonderful cheering-up song that I would listen to in the morning to put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. Especially liked the girls layered over one another in the part after the instrumental bit (I'm sorry, I don't the musical term you would use to describe that part of the song...the bridge? Or after the bridge? :desksweat: :XD: )

The cello is superbly beautiful

For some reason, though, this song reminds me of distance x kugatsu/kotonoha hybrid :XD: (maybe with a bit of neverending, Kagayaku and...maybe even a smidgeon of storia for some reason thrown in there? :ohoho: Or perhaps it's just me...)

^ I'd just say you have too much imagination, all Yuki ballads are more or less similar, dividing only to scary (lirica) and happy/sad ones (saphire, snow falling, this etc) so its kinda pointless to try to find similarities between them :XD:

I really like all the ballad song written by Kajiura sama!!!! Those harmony is beautiful... :shy:

And this is another proof on how someone's post, even if he/she didn't intend to, can possibly hurt someone's feeling. George, you totally should learn to how to make a post without the "annoying" undertones. Almost 100% of your posts are like that. That's why KP-X said the sentence I quoted on my signature :
"Just a suggestion. No need to bite me because of it."

What? It was supposed to be some kind of joke, no intention of hurting at all ! :@_@: ( I probably should have put a bit more onions to make that clearer) I apologize if you got hurt somehow.

Well to explain myself, I mean that they are similar in the way that almost all the times they have 1) piano 2) violin/flute, have same structure (slow at start, then faster then slow again) only song that broke this as of the structure was akatsuki no kuruma, and as of arrangement some more like lirica and ARIA so far. So its just natural for Cerise to compare Yane no Mukou ni with all these songs.

That are similar in structure/arrangement doesn't mean I dont like them, I just say my opinion.

Yes, I guess many of Kajiura's ballads have a distinct familial resemblance to each other…I think it's the chorus that reminds me somewhat of distance, but not only because of its melody but also due to the fact that the vocal style sounds similar...and also the parts (after the chorus I think? Can't remember…) where Wakana layered over herself, the way she sings those short, staccato falsetto notes falling back into normal voice remind me of the way she sang it in Kugatsu (sorry if you don't know which part I’m talking about, I don't think I described it very well… :spotlight: )

...so actually Yune no Mukue reminded me of those two songs rather because of the style of singing rather than the arrangement/melody/structure etc. :XD:

Sorry, I guess I should have been clearer as to explaining my reasons for comparison  :XD: but george is right, it's true that Kajiuran ballads have quite a few things in common with each other :ayashii:

Got mine just a few minutes ago.

moonfesta: Oooo I am really liking the full version of moonfesta. It is very uplifting, as Cerise says. Reminds me a bit more now of storia, which is fine with me. I also like the part after the instrumental. :dote: Also Hikaru sounds kind of different at the end, I like it a lot, and the ending itself.

Yane no mukou ni: Already starting with piano and strings, loving it. I am liking the melody. You can hear Keiko more clearly in the background. Oooo it is pretty. :dote: -makes me do this. And the cello is a nice touch as well. Was taken aback by Keiko's (she has more than just a couple of lines) part a bit at first, but like it nonetheless. I think this is going to be a favorite of mine. Konno you are just awesome. It is such a nice song.

I will get to scanning in the booklet in a bit. Taking it all in. :shy:

Yane no mukou ni is nice. Not outstanding, but a pleasant song. Though a few notes in the chorus are similar to those in the chorus of Kugatsu :ayashii: They even share similar lyrics: "kitto yume no" in Kugatsu and "kitto yume ni" in Yane :omg:

The booklet scans:
:dote:
Sorry my scanner is so bad. Ugh. One of these days I am getting a new one. Hopefully someone can translate the lyrics and the promo thing though. The back of it was just a discography.

Also just watched the PV: I loved it. Even though it's kind of slow and not much happening other than the dancing and animals, it's cute. I love Wakana and Keiko's dance together in the beginning. And Hikaru's little bouncy one throughout the song. Wakana feeding the goat was cute while the others are dancing. Just noticed that Keiko's voice is really high pitched in the song, but I kind of like that. I can see why someone said mysterious when they can see their breath when singing. It's kind of creepy. heh And it reminds me of a Renassaince Faire, which I love. And look, a chair. hehe :dote:

^ Thanks for the scans, Liana! :dote:
