So...I like both songs as well as the instrumental of Moonfesta~
Yane no Mukou ni sounds like Yuki old works...Simple ballad~For me, this song is nothing special, just nice~Still, I can cry while listening to this~ :')

I also felt Yane no Mukou ni is kind of typical song of Yuki. But that's why I love Yuki's songs in the first place. The chorus is also very simple, but can feel each voice in Kalafina.
Hope we can see the lyrics asap....

@TsukiHoshi: I think their way of singing has similarities with natsu no ringo or Ashita no keshiki, but not in the melody or arrangement.

Yane is actually a really nice song! I really like the piano+violin parts, just soo beautiful
The first starting piano lines sound like a piece from Mozart XD but it quickly dissolves...*was it my imagination?*
The song is generally very very very nice but i have issues with the end of the chorus where the Tierce De Picardie occurs...it just sounds awkward to me...

Agree with Kazado. The only blah part of Yane no Mukou ni is Hikaru's solo. Kajiura should just let Keiko sings it. Sometimes, no Hikaru solo is nice. Not that I'm saying that Hikaru's voice is bad. But for a song like this, Hikaru's voice is just a big no. I totally love Wakana's voice here.

After a few more listens, I like Yane no Mukou better. I actually must retract my last statement about Keiko's solo. I like it a lot more now. ...especially compared to Hikaru's beginning solo. I like Hikaru and her voice, but I agree with everyone else who said her voice doesn't work here.
Also, if anyone is getting the RE, I hope to be able to hear the full instrumental of moonfesta.

Only listened to it once but Yane no Mukou ni is imho a forgettable song. Probably because moonfesta is too catchy by Kajiura's standard I can't take it out of my mind.
