Kalafina "Magia" 2011/02/16

The NINKI ratings are the results of a poll conducted by Oricon indicating interest in an upcoming release. Although the ratings are never a true reflection of sales, it does give a strong prediction about where the single/album will place in terms of popularity amongst the Japanese public. However, they are NOT an indication of how it will perform in terms of chart positioning and total sales for the week.

looks like the concept of an idol group is literally expanding. :white:
A whole J-pop choir sounds like a fresh thing, too (at least in theory), so it's natural for people to be interested. But it's kinda sad to realize that Japan also chooses pop singers based on their appearance. :uh..: and even if appearance is discussed - no one will argue that Kalafina utahime's are beautiful. Plus they have good voices, and they sing songs that incorporate some of the best traits pop music ever invented. Seriously, no matter how some of us die-hard hard to please YK fans may find their songs superior or inferior to Yuki's other works, IMHO Kalafina is still a top class pop group. Such quality of music is expected to hang around Top-3 in the charts. That's why I thought that a song must be rather GOOD to beat Kalafina in the charts.

it looks similar to the one from Tora no Ana :uh..: but this one is better. I might turn M for these kind of Kalafina :nosebleed:
 
Man, Japanese music industry has always been like that. To be honest, I'm even surprised they're having a little bit of fame (although that is most probably because of the tie-ins rather than their own music). I've seen far worse cases out there, such as KOKIA and Tsukiko Amano.
