How did Anime Boston work? Was it a certain range of ticket numbers that they let through for autographs?

Also, when the site says "no recording of any kind" being permitted, would I be correct in thinking that they mean not just video/sound, but pictures? I was hoping to be able to take pictures of the concert... :uh..:
Please excuse my ignorance on these things...

They have 100 tickets passed out to people lining up and guarantee they would get an autograph, but they try to get through as many people as possible within the autographing time slot. I think they might have signed for as many as 200 people. :sparkleguy:

No recording probably means no pictures either. With technology now, they wouldn't know if you were taking pictures or recording video. (Probably unless you have a really old film camera or something.) They usually don't allow any of that in Japanese concerts though. At least that's how it was for Anime Boston and Anime Expo.
 
Purchased my tickets about 10 minutes ago! Section 103 WOOT
Website server kept crashing...I wonder when the first ticket was able to be purchased.

I GOT A TICKET!!!! So happy! :sohappy: The site was soooo slow so I was super worried. And yeah, you can bring things for them to sign as long as they're authentic and 2 is the limit. It's going to be Friday night after the concert. :dote: Now I just have to stay healthy until then, but even if I am really sick I don't care, I am going. lol (That was a stressful hour.) Oh, for people trying to find where the tickets are (like I was) go to events, then Kalafina concert tickets.

@salvanos: yeah, I think I am in 207 in the balcony. we will have to meet up before hand.

Did you miss out on the front row seats? Or did you choose the balcony?

I chose the balcony, I don't want to have to stand the whole time, I should still be able to see them though, and I'll bring binaculars. (Btw I wonder when the site will be back up heh)
 
Apparently there is a whole fiasco regarding the server crash so seats were not as accurate :uh..:
I'm in section 102 which isn't bad really I'm just hoping I'm in the front of 102 :XD: I feel a bit silly for not choosing that section or 104 first knowing everyone was scrambling for the coveted 103 section. Oh well otherwise this should be excellent! So glad I got my tickets before the website crashed!
 
I think I was one of the first to secure a ticket. My order time stamp was 04/11/2013 - 12:43 central time. Emailed them and confirmed I was in section 103.

Congratulations!! I was 12:49..crazy what a difference 6 minutes can make. Now I need a plan on how to get autographs after the concert :blood: All I can see is a crazy dash down the street..and maybe a stampede...uggh. Its such a dilemma..I want to see the full concert but I also want my stuff signed...
 
For the autographing, I wonder if they would just start a line at the venue instead, people mad dashing down the street sounds dangerous. In fact, mad dashing down the hallway (at Anime Boston after the concert) was crazy enough. A lot of people left before the real end of the concert where Kajiura-san played piano for Kalafina.

If the seats are the same (and I assume they are since I don't think they're movable seats), there would be 81 seats in 103. Seating chart is from the Sesame Street show at the same venue.

I hope I'm not too far back. Although, with only 8 rows, things can't get too bad.

My friend at the con left early and saved us a spot so we were 3-4th in line @ Anime Boston it was awesome. The line was a mile long!
I don't mind the spot at all front row seats in 104 or 105 would be just as awesome.
2 autographed items though is pretty spectacular! I wonder if that means less autographs for people overall since that's double what they usually sign.
 
Awww damn, I got moved to section 101 lol.. I just hope it isn't the very farrrrr right.

Originally I thought I got one in section 103,but later they emailed me that 103 was overbooked and I was sorted to 102.....Hope I can be very close to the stage!

My group was first in line at the first autographing session, until some lady and her daughter (probably) cut in front of us. And since nobody really was interested in Kalafina in 2009 or know of them, we kind of went back and lined up again. But after the concert, the crowd went crazy!

Two autographs is good enough, unlike at AX, we only got one item signed. (I was in Japan when Kalafina was there, but I went when FictionJunction came)

@salvanos: Yeah, I hope there isn't a stampede and I am able to duck out quickly from the balcony towards the end and then rush out.

@meerkat: I think they give the first 100 people in line tickets or something like that, and then they try and get through as many as they can. At least that's what I read someone posted on here. I hope I will be able to make it! (when I got my ticket in line at Anime Boston I clutched it so hard I think my fingers turned white lol)
