Also wasn't there going to be a song called Identify or something like that in a Kala album before? I seem to recall speculation on it. Or it was something along those lines, I seem to remember something... maybe I am just tired right now. heh

That's a lot of new songs to impress us...
...or depress us...

I'm actually a little scared :uh..:

Well, I don't care about the majority of After Eden or Consolation anyway, so as long as just a few songs grab me, I'll probably be satisfied.

I guess I'm just hoping that all these recent generic releases have maybe come out because people kept asking Kajiura to make anisong for them when she just wanted to work on the next album. If people kept bugging her for it she could've reluctantly agreed, but eventually it happened so often that she gave up almost entirely and just threw something together so they'd leave her alone.

Maybe it's not professional or realistic but I'm gonna stick with that for now until the album lands.

I'm still pissed that HB got in though.

I don't mind it as long as in their setlists, they don't repeat their songs pre-believe that much. I've gotten real sick of hearing Manten, ttb, misterioso, KnGnN (as much as I love this song), Mirai, and Hikari Furu (and Magia to an extent as well). They've performed these tie-ins way, way, way too much already.

*prays for B-sides to be performed live, especially Tsuioku*

I wouldn't worry about the album. If you keep expectations low, you'll be pleasantly surprised if they exceed your low expectations.

A lot of songs were performed on Red and Blue Day so maybe this time they'll show us some b-sides

Lately I'm thinking about the new songs an what they will sound like. I know this is stupid just knowing the titles but I can't avoid daydreaming lol

I hope into the water will have an al fine-style, loved that intro. It would be cool something with strings and acquatic effects. and no Wakana wailing doesn't count as acquatic effect

As a lot of us have said I believe that monochrome will be the techno track and identify the rock one, or vice versa. Gogatsu no Mahou has a in your eyes feel, something light with a lot of Hikaru. Usumurasaki is quite enigmatic, maybe it will be a slow dark track filled with Wakana. Hokage sounds like a bright ballad or maybe moonfesta ver. 2.0. Musunde Hiraku may be another rock track, this title doesn't tell much tbh. Then we have Sorairo no Isu, a mid-tempo ballad dedicated to our beloved Mr Chair. Will he make a comeback on the cover?

^Yes! I was thinking the same after listening/watching magnolia again on Consolation live last night, or obbligato, since that is still my favorite Kala song.

I like your analysis Kohaku! I really hope for this. I think at least some will be good, since she's shown us that she can still make awesome songs, and cares about what the girls want, like with Mahiru. True, there might be something like that in the album, but it's nice to have something like that after some rock songs. heh It's like when they put an instrumental/bgm track in their lives, to give the girls a break, but it will be giving us a break, if that makes sense? (I just hope there won't be any weird sounds like in OL, though she's been doing weird things with the rock songs lately.)

I agree with everyone with that HB shouldn't be in. If it's solely because of the PV being on the DVD/BD, then they might as well put Believe, RYB, and OL's PVs on the disc as well.

HB's PV was only there because of the fact that the video wasn't even included in the single itself. As someone mentioned here on CPM, it was Sony's quick cashgrab when the song turned out to be massively popular among the Japanese >.> The single only contained the song itself, the TV size version, and the instrumental ugh (main reason why I really don't wanna get it as much as I could help it :/)

Thank you for the update, @grunty and @Westkana!

I'm not going to say too much about the length of the tracks, as multiple members have already mentioned it. However, I will point out that I'm so used to just having one track per album that's less than 4 minutes long; it's weird to see multiple tracks on this album matching that criterion!

Some preliminary thoughts:

Gogatsu no mahou, to me, sounds like some sort of playful, childish song, kind of like "love come down" or "in your eyes". Its position at M03 and preceeding "Ring your bell" further conveys that to me.

"into the water" is to "Far on the water" as "in this winter" is to "Winter" (Fiction II, Fiction, respectively). Might be like an "al fine" type of song, where the lyrics are insignificant and mostly just instrumental. Or "prelude".

"Usumurasaki" is a ballad, lead by WAKANA and HIKARU as the verses. Might have a KEIKO cameo.

"Monochrome" - I have no opinions on this... Or rather, have mixed ones.

"Identify" - its position following the ballad heavily implicates that this is the techno song that we have all been waiting for. HIKARU x KEIKO lead, please.

"Hokage" is a WAKANA lead ballad, similar to "KOTONOHA" and "intermezzo".

"Musundehiraku" - This is it; it's the techno song. Its length and its position between One Light and heavenly blue is telling me things. And what an enigmatic title.

"Sorairo no iso" - a "Kiichigo no shigemi ni"-esque ballad.

I feel like Monochrome is going to be something of a ballad, despite it's cool name. I say that because of the length: 3:32. Most of Kala's ballads (or at least their more recent ones...?) are around that length or slightly longer. I would think that a faster or techno song would be around 5 minutes, give or take 30 seconds or so. The only song I can think of that is faster and shorter is Storia. Identify seems like the fast/techno song we've been waiting for.

EDIT: Possibly the song could be about someone who died regretting that they saw everything in monochrome, and wished that they could go back and live life again without that happening.
And by monochrome, I mean by making assumptions off of stereotypes, etc.

I'm almost certain Gogatsu no Mahou will be a bright song and I probably won't like it. Identify and Musunde Hiraku will be rock/techno songs, but I have no clue what the hell monochrome could be.

^To me that title (Gogatsu) seems like it will be more like Magia, or something similar to the Madoka songs, which would be fine since I liked all of them (save for Hikari furu, though I like it live).

I get a consolation vibe from monochrome (but more techno). identify is most likely a dance/rock track. The songs with Japanese titles are probably slow songs, except Hokage which could also be a rock or something that's rock.

But there's only so much we can get from the title. Kajiura could pull a consolation on us, where there's a major dissonance between the title and the song itself. I don't think anyone saw that coming.

^ I can definitely say that I had a different sound/image in my head regarding consolation before I heard it. Now I'm trying to think of other tracks that have a different sound than the title might indicate.

Solely based on titles, only Gogatsu no Mahou, identify, Musunde Hiraku, and Hokage make me think of a certain type of tune.

Gogatsu I associate with KNGNN, so I'm kinda thinking a happy/bright song (though, I'd be cool if it was more folksy).
Identify makes me think of signal and magnolia, so more techno-like.
Musunde Hiraku is the rock tune in my head.
Hokage is probably a ballad like intermezzo or kotonoha judging by it being the shortest song.

If any of these tracks have a leading Keiko rock track (or at least a song where Keiko leads using her lower register) and perhaps a ballad lead by Hikaru, (given that they're good) I'll be happy.
