I believe they can't lower the prices, since they are selling from Japan. If they established stores at other countries, than they really should lower them, but as it is right now, nah.

^ Good for you! :dote:

I watched the Red Moon DVD many times, since I prefer the live versions of the songs as opposed to the studio versions. They sound awfully... compressed, whereas the live ones sound more harmonized and the Kajiuran parts are often stronger.

I suppose they must figure that there aren't enough fans to give them back what they spend - maybe they'll spend a million dollars more and only get back five hundred thousand in profit. :confu:

It does depend on the break even point, I agree. And the system of "factory work" in Japan is very convoluted because of WWII's aftermath; the lack of employment caused the industry to create more jobs by making the delivery processes extremely complicated so as to require a larger work force, but that also had a knock-on effect of the prices over there, which means things are considerably more expensive in Japan than they would be in, say, Korea or China, so that could affect the pricing of changing the DVD Region.

But don't computers play all Regions of DVDs...? :confu:

You're learning graphic design? :waii:

It wasn't what I thought it was. It was basically designing products and then making cardboard copies of them, whereas I thought Graphic & Design Technology would be more computer-oriented.

The other technology options were art, woodwork, electronics and Home Ec., but... I didn't want to take art, because I dislike being forced into creativity, and I didn't want to take woodwork or electronics because I am a dainty procrastinator female who doesn't like work. I could've took Home Ec. but we didn't have the money to pay for our own ingredients all the time, so that was out.

So off-topic. :omg:

YES, you're right! I fell in love with Ongaku because of listening to the live version. But half the reason for that was Koichi-san's solo :plot:

I think the reason for stronger Kajiurago is probably because the three of them are actually singing it, and it's not Yuriko/Fion chorus mixed into the background :ayashii:

Nope. You have to change the region each time, and you can only change it four times. And once you've changed it four times, you can never change it again

I think I'll continue this in a PM :V:

Aha. My favourite is the Red Moon version of "Mata Kaze ga Tsuyoku Natta", because... Just because of how crazy everyone acted in it. So insane and I don't understand anything that happened after Keiko started sniffing/singing into Hikaru's dress.

I love how enthusiastic they all get in live performances, as well, so it really helps to endear me towards any song they're singing because of how enjoyable it looks to sing it on stage. Hikaru especially, since she always gets incredibly emotionally attached to everything that's happening, even if she's not singing. It's very nice to see.

:shy:

I can't remember a time when Yuriko wasn't mixed into the chorus background. :uh..:

That's fairly pointless. Surely the programming can be overridden? :confu:

Probably best. :ohoho:

I had that problem too with my DVD drive before
I bought a Star Ocean 3 artbook that came with DVD but I had to change the region and it said I can only change it 4 times :blood:

It is fun to watch them, even if they're just standing on their marks. A lot of times, their singing has more emotion than the rec version too :ayashii:

True...but at least in the lives, it's prerecorded and thus quieter...

Well, it does say that reinstalling Windows or moving the drive to another computer won't help, so I guess it's something to do with the DVD drive itself. But I wouldn't want to even try :hide:

The only solutions I could think of was either to buy a region-free DVD player (most of which seem awfully cheap and have bad reviews on Amazon), or buy a second DVD drive for my computer and leave it on Region 2 permanently :rain:

Yeah, definitely! The harmony in "fairytale" is still one of the best ones I've ever heard, aaah.

:shy:

Even in FictionJunction; only ever in the chorus and never singing a solo!

It is dicey, messing with your computer that way... Especially if it's like mine, my computer is from 2007 and I have to chuck coal in it to make it work.

You know, it's weird. If you compare the listed Japanese price for the RE mook with the international selling price (CDJ, YesAsia), they're in the same price range. But if you look at the difference for the LE mook... huge.

I have two theories about why that is. Commence onion-fied/playground level conversations!

Scenario 1 said:
CDJ: Let me sell the LE mook! I'll be your best friend forever. :plz:
Sony: No, go away. I don't want to be your friend.
CDJ: Pleeeeease! :wai:
Sony: :ayashii: Okay, sure... if you do something first. :plot:
CDJ: I'll do anything! :sohappy:
Sony: The LEs are so special, you have to give me a lot of moneys. THEN you can sell them. :gimmeh:
CDJ: :omgz: But then I'll have to charge my customers lots of moneys to make up my losses!
Sony: Too bad. :ohoho:

Scenario 2 said:

Sony: No, go away. I don't want to be your friend.
CDJ: Pleeeeease! :wai:
Sony: No, I won't give them to your store. They're only for my best friend forever, Japan, to sell. :sparkleguy:
CDJ: :touched:
Japan: *feels bad* Well... you can buy them from me. But it won't be cheap, you'll have to use the special request orders.
CDJ Customer #1: LE mook? :gimmeh:
CDJ Customer #2: LE mook? :gimmeh:
CDJ Customer #3: LE mook? :gimmeh:
CDJ: :omgz: At this rate I'll have too many special request orders to fill out! It would be easier for me to just sell the LEs as an item on the site, but with special order prices.
Japan: Fine with me. :sparkleguy:
Sony: *grumble grumble*

*slapped*

Please don't ask me about Koichi-san's guitar bg during Keiko's solo line...I will give you a monologue on how gorgeous is sounds :nosebleed:

And the harmony is lovely too, I agree :dote:

My computer is from around 2005 :desksweat:

@wintersviolet: :XD:

@winter: Either way, it looks like Sony has done an equiv. of this to us:

...I feel bad for not noticing there was any sound other than her voice, uh... I'll have to go and relisten to it.

My computer is from around 2005 :desksweat:

I think I got mine when I started high school, so... Yeah, 2007. Year 7 in 2007, Year 8 in 2008, Year 9 in 2009, etc. Easy to remember.

:ohoho:

@winter

So generous, Sony is. :blood:

and hopefully with the new popularity the production will be much more than Red Moon!

^Agreed. I kind of want to order the RE too, but I won't be able to. Will it always have the mousepad or only right away? I may eventually be able to order it. heh They're both great. :dote:

Really, how many of you are willing to put the mousepad to practical use and risk rubbing the picture away? :ayashii:
