Y'know...I wonder what the consensus would be on TTB if it was arranged differently? The arrangement is what's very FJ-like, so I wonder if it would seem more like a Kala song if it didn't have the Parallel Hearts/Toki no Mukou/Eternal Blue sound to it? :confu:

On that note, why is TTB considered FJ-like when Sprinter, which has a very FJ-like arrangement itself, isn't? :imdead:

^ Well, it's got a similar tempo, with drums, strings and guitar being the main instruments. I do see a lot of differences in the composition of the song and the way it's laid out, but...

I dunno, it's probably just me. :XD:

Well, I don't think main instruments should be regarded in the parallels, since this has been what Kajiura uses nowadays for a lot of songs, not just these in question. Just like you said, the composition and progression of these songs are very different. Also, this may sound like a lame excuse, but the FJ-songs plus TTB have that anime feel to it, the kind of song that goes with any OP. sprinter has more of a chaotic feel to it; even though it's "upbeat" it's hard for me to imagine it being used as an OP. I also think that the fact that Wakana participates less in sprinter plays an important role in the comparison. After all, ALL the FJ-songs being compared with TTB have Wakana as the singer for the chorus, so this only enhances the feeling of TTB being a FJ with sprinter not being considered one. Lastly, the fact that sprinter came before all this songs may make people not relate it to FJ songs.

Now, this is personal, but ever since I heard Parallel Hearts for the first time, I had this feeling that it was a tentative of doing another sprinter-like song.

^ I think you're right. Basically I was thinking about it because the bridge of TTB draws a slight parallel to Sprinter's bridge for me, so that got me thinking about Sprinter compared to FJ songs...but it's probably way too simplistic to compare Sprinter to FJ songs, or TTB for that matter, based just on its instruments.

Honestly, I find Sprinter much more powerful than any of the FJ singles anyway. It took me a while to really understand it (and I still like the live performances better) but there's something lasting about it even though it's relatively simple.

Going to be around $100 for my cd only because shipping is as much as the cd itself and I'm getting the t-shirt now and the poster. *sigh* I still want the other versions of the cd. In time maybe. heh

And I think it will be okay as an opening, since the tv size is a little more like that. And I did not think of oath sign as a very good opening either, but they made it work so it might be the same way. :dote:

in 2011 its Etrnal Blue not Gatherway :XD:

I meant by date, even know Gatherway wasn't even rearranged by Kajiura. XD

Agreed. I don't think that sprinter is FJ-esque in any way. But I think I disagree about PH being an attempt to make a sprinter-like song...maybe because of the totally opposite moods provided by the respective lyrics. But thinking of the construction of verses and bridges, and the overlapping voices, I see they have things in common.

Just wondering...some people said Hikaru's "hohoemi no chikakuuuu..." was annoying...and I'm curious as to why (it sounds okay to me...) So could anyone elaborate on this point? :confu:

^after listening to it more now I don't find it so bad. I guess maybe because it's right before the bridge and it kind of rushes? That is my thought anyways.

I didn't like the sudden breath, the way she sang "ka" (pulling the sound downward when it's better sung normally), and shakiness on "ku".

I love almost everything Hikaru sings so I'm not even going to weigh in this conversation :ohoho: I really liked her in this song, her harmonies were on point, and her intense look in the PV makes my heart race.
