The best thing about both the song and the PV are the girls' dresses. I've seen only 30 secs of the PV by judging by that and by whta everyone said, it's a typical boring Kalafina PV. As for the song - typical FJ opening. It reminds me much of Eternal blue and Toki no... Come one, Yuki, make something new already

@ Alphie: Its new for Kalafina, so maybe Yuki wanted to surprise those fans that follow Kalafina but not FJ, and its not like its totally old, the bridge parts is pretty new imo, although i would also prefer something more innovating.

Provided that the arriving innovation is actually your cup of tea, you'd want to add. After observing Grunty's emotional stress caused by In Your Eyes, I'm kinda sceptical about pleas for something new.

I also think this is great for Kalafina trying "something new" and after hearing the full song I would have to say that I like it, not love it. It is one that I could listen to a lot, but I actually like Hikaru and Wakana's parts more than Keiko's in this, although I like Keiko in the bridge. And I love how the songs ends, where it gradually gets slower, and the tone rises. I think overall it is a nice song and nice for an opening of an anime, especially Fate/Zero. I have yet to watch the full PV as well, but I think I will wait until I get the cd, so I can have something to be surprised about. heh I would probably give the song an 8 out of 10. And now I really like the 3rd cover, where it is more centered. I really wish I had more to get all the versions.

You know, I completely agree with you. As I was listening to the bridge, I was wondering why I didn't love it even though it's so different, and I think you hit the nail on the head. It's too long, and there are too many different vocal lines in it...
The big difference between this PV and Progressive's is the lack of momentum...Progressive had camera whips, quick zooms, basically a lot of motion, while TTB is back to the usual slow-mo and leisurely pans.
I guess you've got a point. It sounded okay to me, but I've only listened to it once.

In contrary with you, the only part I enjoy from this song is the first 25 seconds, which is the kajiuran, the ala-PH-violin, and Keiko's opening. Don't know why, I don't really like Wakana's voice in this one, especially in the chorus. The way she sings it just kinda weird for me. And I never like Hikaru's part from the first time I hear this song. the hohoemi no chikaku is somewhat annoying for me...
@ninetales : progressive PV shot was only crab all over the PV, though. And just a bit zoom here and there. TTB is progressive crossed with fairytale for me...Make up and editing ala progressive, but shot and scene ala fairytale. Which is really boring.
For their outfit, I love this one as almost their other dresses except storia and lacrimosa. But I still think that Keiko's hand is too "empty". Hikaru got an awesome glove, Wakana got a long sleeve on one side and ala Magia glove there, but Keiko only got a bracelet and a ring (although the ring is nice, actually)...and padded shoulder is still a big no...

^ Yup, you're right. And on that note, I'm interested to find out who the director of this PV is...I'm 99% sure that it has to be the guy who directed their earlier PVs, since TTB rivals Sprinter for sheer boredom

^ Looks to me like the first one is about a 2-hour Niconico livestream that's coming on the 21st, about Kala going to LA and Hong Kong...
