Well...right now I'm just thinking that in my opinion...

Yuuka >>>> Haruna Luna ≥ Aoi Eir

Kaori sounds waaaayyy nicer than Haruna, imo. :shy:

We'll see if Yuki can bring the best out of her~

...though, to be honest, I'm hoping this is just a short-term or one-off collab, not the beginning of a long-term partnership...or a potential new addition to FJ... :spotlight:

The same as I hope....:spotlight:...but well... I won't say more until I hear that how her first collab with Yuki sounds like... (Who knows...it may be better than we expected... :ayashii: )

Just want to clarify what I posted before.. I didn't want to compare her singing ability or voice quality with Kaori..but it's just like...among all permanent Yuki's vocalists, her characteristic of voice is closest to Kaori's IMO...(not about the singing style&ability, quality&power of voice, etc...just the characteristic...) and so..I really agree that Kaori sound farrrrr...better than her... :uh..: .

My impression from these videos... Well, she sounds EXACTLY like most karaoke contest performances I see at our local anime fest. But it did seem amateur (not that I could sing any better, of course), and if she's had two years of practice since then - we'll see what we shall see (or, rather, hear). Hikaru's voice in early Kalafina songs was also hard for some people to get used to (it took myself a number of listenings to get used to her in ARIA, although I had no problems with Sprinter or Gloria), but her vocal's become notably more versatile and smooth since then. :sohappy: Besides, the ability to convey the feel of presence and things like that in a song is good, and if Yuki bets on that, I believe she can shape up any other aspect of Haruna's voice she needs to. Back when she wrote about a "singing class" to be held during one of the first FJC events, she mentioned that she and Yuriko are "very strict teachers". :plot: :ayashii:

That said, I'm looking forward to the song much more than to the singer anyway. :XD:

Poor girl...she definitely doesn't have a strong voice. No wonder they seem to be drawing more attention to her looks, to make up for it :uh..:

She sounds nothing like Hikasa Youko in those songs, though. I wonder if she's had singing lessons since then? :ayashii:

At any rate, I think we can safely say that she won't sound this bad in the song. It looks like Sony's just started to market her, so they're not going to let her sound like a trainwreck.

EDIT

I definitely agree about the "oshiete", though. Sounds like she had no idea how to control or regulate her voice...

In that first video, she said she has had voice (vocal?) training for three years. That was before her performances on Anisong Grand Prix. Yikes... :omg:

Let's hope she has switched instructors/teachers before she takes on Kajiura's song. ^^;;;

When I was listening first season ending I tough It would be nice if Sony would at least let Yuki compose the ending using her as a vocalist because her voice was nice.

I suppose it's more like Aniplex decided to promote another new singer (after EliSa and Aoi Eir) and decided to ask Yuki to write a song this time. :ayashii:
