Good Things that Happened to You!!!

Holy crap the soundtrack composer for Silent Hill, Akira Yamaoka is performing an hour away from me the week after I see Kalafina. As my favourite composer and arguably favourite musician of all time (sorry Kajiura) this is the best thing ever. I just need to ensure I get tickets.

Damn... I love the Silent Hill music.
What are your favorite songs?

I finally listened to the new Kala album! I love the songs! It was a pleasant surprise. Mine will come tomorrow and I cn watch the PV. Also going to get a frame hopefully for my sister's birthday to fill with pictures of my niece for her 40th birthday. I am 30, so she's ten years apart now. heh Well, she will be on Sept 20th. I hope she like it. I got her the best card too. Well, better get going.

Got my FOTW album today! The quickness of EMS shipping never ceases to amaze me.

I was praised today for my precis. prof said mine was the best in the class...???? he waited to give mine back last so he could say that to me. idk man, you'd think the graduate students' would be better
the reason I'm kinda psyched is bc this prof is apparently a very harsh grader. but his class is extremely entertaining.

I got Chiaki Ishikawa's new album today. It was EMS and it came 4 days after, so I don't know. I thought International was the quickest but the last two Kala things came on the release day, instead of the day before, which I usually got it. And that's bad because I go to my sister's on Weds sometimes. But I got it in time so it was okay. Chiaki's album is good. I also cleaned the entire kitchen and got the laundry done (or it will be) today. If feels good to be so productive, though now I'm sore. heh I also get new music tomorrow, Blackmore's Night's album comes out. Woot! I got a total of 4 new albums with Jewel then this week. (I wish I had the vinyl of my Kala though since I want to make sure it plays properly this time. And I want to hear the songs on vinyl.)

^I am still getting used to Identify, the chorus is just so weird, but other than that I love it. Hokage is not a repeat song either, but that's a small nitpick.

Got All Our Yesterdays by Blackmore's Night today. I like the title track so far. A few of the tracks I got already since I got it through Amazon Music. I thought I was getting the actual cd. Oops. I will sooner or later because I love them so much. I wish they would come to our Ren Faire. It would be so awesome to see them live. Ren Faire is awesome anyways. heh Also it's festival day today! I am looking forward to working it with my cousin tomorrow. I haven't seen or talked to her in awhile, so it will be fun selling popcorn again with her. It seems like it was just yesterday that it was last year's. Hopefully it won't rain too much.

I seem to have fixed (for the most part, it still skipped during Gogatsu no Mahou) the skipping problem on the far on the water album! I am so happy now. It's still a little fuzzy but it's really great on vinyl. I love having a record player of my own too that I could just take anywhere really. It's so small and it's a suitcase! Heh The problem is storing the records in the right bag. Well, I won't be taking them anywhere anytime soon. I love it so much, I do love the new songs as well. :sohappy:

Got Far on the Water for my birthday! Now I can finally listen to the songs. I haven't gotten around to listening to them, but my mom and I have watched the DVD. The FOTW PV is so beautiful

Got my PS Vita games today 10/2 , and one was released in Japan on 10/1 …. (I am aware of the time difference) but still so fast. :o

Celebrated my grandad's 90th(!) birthday yesterday with a big family get-together accompanied by champagne and cake.

Then these arrived today:

^Yay!

I wiped my record with a microfiber cloth and the static is mostly gone! Woot! I love that the A side of the first record plays fine, except for a little warped sounding. Oh well, good thing! :dote: Oh also CPM is back! It was gone for a little bit yesterday.

My imouto in Manchester phoned me today to say that Ludovico Einaudi is playing lives in the UK next year, and asked if anyone else wanted to go along. :gimmeh: Since he's her piano-playing hero she went and booked tickets for one of the Bridgewater Hall shows, and is apparently going back into work this afternoon squeeing like the fangirl she is. :XD:

If there are any other UK fans on here, the tickets went on sale this morning so you should get lucky!

I got to see my lovely niece again yesterday, and she's coming to stay for 3 days in November! I can't wait. Also found my ring the other day, luckily did not lose it, since I got it in North Carolina, so I can't just go get another one.

I bought shoes similiar (in shape) to Keiko's in Budokan live! This kind of shoes is trendy now. Yey, I'm so happy, I love good shopping:sohappy: and the thought that Keiko had similiar...

I get to buy my week's worth of shopping at a super cheap Korean market that is right behind my hotel! :nosebleed: I also am supporting South Carolina with the flood relief which is very rewarding work.

^Congrats and good luck! I sort of have one. It's a Skype interview. heh This is for an Admin position but it's through my temp agency, and that's who I am video conferencing with. It should be interesting.

I got Carrie Underwood's Storyteller (heh storytelling) and so far it's pretty good. Not as good as her last album, but good. So I am happy. I always love new music. Also I am pretty pleased at how I wrote out Mahiru, now I just have to practice it to death until Sunday to be pleased with how I play it, which will be like nothing how Konno plays. *sigh* I wish I could be as good as him or Lindsey Stirling. But oh well, I am pretty proud of myself for writing it out and Lydia at group thought that was cool too and liked the song!
